I'd recommend a tripod, keep the camera still as much as possible and animate the figures.

We were asked to create an animation based on the characters and events from the 2007 UK Big Brother show, so unless you saw that, it won't make sense....

About a week as far as I can remember. We did 2 versions - one that had all kind of toys in it, but C4 couldn't get clearance. The Sylvanian people said it was ok though!
