I find this a little odd. Bengals are extremely clean, even by cat standards. Why exactly do you feel you need to bath them this way? I'm pretty sure based on the other vids of these guys i've seen they aren't exactly 'running free' all night so they aren't getting filthy. In fact, I'd bet you're keeping an eye on them more or less at all times and they are kept indoors when you aren't around. Hmm ,I wash my cat on the bathroom floor with the shower, she stays so calm as long as I don't wet here ears/eyes :), occasionally she's a bit scared because of the water jet's noise.P.S I don't need to force her to stay still when I'm bathing her :) she just savors a nice warm shower :).Btw Linus , cats get very scared when they see a big volume of water,even mine , but as long as I keep her on the floor when I wash her she keeps cool :)

i've had my cat for 19 years... and creeping up on the 20 year mark (yay)... she's slowed down but still putters the house in an adorable way... I haven't bathed her once... she does that on her own and is as lovable as the day I got her.

ps - you might want to avoid having the kitty claws near your nether region because an angry cat can do some real damage. Especially if it's using your crotch as a springboard to jump away. I speak from experience. Then again, I bathed my cat in the nude while you sensibly wear protection (and I don't mean a condom!). And my cat was 20lbs.

As a newlywed, your nether region is no doubt still useful so protect it well (it'll be a different story in 10 years. heh). Buy a hockey athletic cup.

Wow, you're brave. I'd never be in an enclosed place with an angry cat! Then again, I had a 20lb tiger stripe while your kitties are nice and compact.  My cat absolutely hated water so all I managed to do was sponge bathe him.

Since I didn't have a beautiful Yvonne helping me with warm towels, I relied on a BATHROOM-SAFE electric heater. And even then, I mounted it high and aimed it downward so the wet cat wouldn't electrocute himself.

One of my cats was sick on the other one a few days back, he didn't want to clean it because of the taste so I had to man up.

Lucky my whole floor sort of dips towards the centre of the room where the draining is, I just got him in there, closed the door, put him down and followed him around with the shower hose.

Once he realised I wasn't trying to kill him he just stood there and took it like a man. Proud of him. The sick washed out so fast to, good fur.

What I do with my cats is keep warm water running in the bathroom sink and wet my hands, pet cat, rinse hands, pet, over and over until the fur feels cleaner, then pet dry-ish with a towel. Solar, my Bengal, loves a bath that way. Does a great job!

If they ever get anything difficult to clean or poisonous on them, I *need* to be able to give them a bath. If I train them for it when they are young, it won't be difficult for me.

It's all about learning the right habits and behaviors while they are babies, so that they are easier to deal with as adults. My cats can bathe and walk on a leash. Can yours?

We have two Basenji dogs which have cat like qualities so you can imagine what that's like in a bath. Anyway we use Pantene shampoo .. try it once and you'll never use anything else on your cats. Very cool Linus wish we lived in Canada.
