  • Haribol! Hare Krishna!!!! Jaya Jaya Chaitanya Prabhu Nityananada!!!

  • George really made eastern spirituality much more acceptable and cool than it might have been otherwise. I would have still been interested but because of him I don't have to be labeled a dork. thanks, big guy.

  • well suck me sideways lol,wtf is this.is this indian or suming.

  • what cd is this off of i know i had a friend that had this song on a cd she had bought of the internet and i can't seem to find it do you know of the CD if so please message me so that i may buy it for my self thanks so much

  • @unique2080 Thanks for inquiry. If you search for 'Goddess of Fortune' on the following website you can see how to get present-day c.d. of an album originally produced in 1970: Blservices(dot)com

  • HARE KRSNA! Which temple is this from?

  • @herrem82 Inis Rath Island temple (ISKCON Ireland)

  • Why the concept of Karma & Rebirth is the logical & right choice. Your child misbehaves - do you 1) Simply forgive him or 2) Give him a Beating? How about option 3) TEACH him Right from Wrong! That's Karma & Rebirth - God's Non-Violent way of steering us onto the right path. You can’t simply beg & grovel & get away with it, nor are u physically violated & abused. The Goal of a Hindu is not a seedy flesh-pot heaven but Moksha - Knowledge, with God as our Guru.

  • Thank you.

  • To Frankbough1955 :Cloths does not matter really. How much do you know about Hindu dharma or ISKCON(HARE KRISHNA).These are not religions, but universal principles, values, philosophy supreme Your idea of religion is based on the abrahamic religions - which are really falsehoods & canot stand scrutiny. About 5000 yrs back INDIAN rishis, saints gave the humanity the essence of life - spirituality- in the form of BHAGAVADGITA ( other scriptures VEDAS,UPANISHADS,PURANAS,RAMAYANA,MAHABHARATA, BHAGAVATAM)

  • Some of these comments are really stupid, some purporting to actually know something and crapping on others with a different viewpoint. If we could agree that brainwashing and controlling is rife and always has been, then we could argue about which level you have reached in this brainwashing structure. You wouldn't like the truth if you could see it because everything is a lie. Nothing is as it seems to be, death is a good start - thats when your journey really begins.

    Peace.

  • @2JAMMY You can call brainwashing a process of socialization of a child. In every culture a child goes thru socialization or brainwashing. It's a must. One cannot live without this process, or he will be an animal. But who knows what is good and what is bad? How do we know if socialization in our culture is right? Holy scriptures- that is an answer. Hare Krishna,

  • @MrAlexvender Socialisation to me means a process of learning how to fit into society to the best of your abilities in a positive sense. Brainwashing I see as a person or group who purposefully sets out to alter somebody's thinking in order to get them to follow their own personal agenda usually negative. I'm sure I don't need to elaborate more. I hold animals in higher esteem than I do humans. As to if anything is right, or good or bad - you can feel it in your heart and your own body.

    Peace :)

  • reply to frankbough1955: who are you to judge another? You have know why of testing their sincerity. We are all seekers of truth, and arrive at our destination with God by our own path, not the pathway of another's judgment.

  • this is my favorite

  • ISKCON is not a HINDU RELIGION fellas.

And it's not even a RELIGION. RELIGION means BUSINESS. ISKCON is a spiritual platform which welcomes every soul for self realization.

hope these clear your peanut's brain.

  • @monsterfromeast Exactly, ISKCON is an association of Vaishnava devotees, or devotees of Krishna.. Hinduism is a term that was made by westerners, particularly Alexander the Great when he crossed into the Indus valley.. therefore naming the natives generally as "Hindu". You will not find the weord Hindu in any vedic scriptures, the ancient texts followed by the wide array of worshippers of the many gods and goddesses throughout the material and spiritual universes.

  • hey just keep peace and love man..everybody got their own state of mind, everybody got their own perspective in live man, they have their rights to feel and express it man,its a natural gift from this mother nature man..i wont told you to do what they do and feel what they feel man, just let it be and respect this beautiful distinction and we'll find peace and love man..Hare Krishna!cheer from Indonesia.

  • Hell is a vile, abusive, disgusting concept. God buys love & loyalty with torture? A Gandhi, Teresa, Mandela would never think of torturing their enemies, whereas a Saddam, Hitler, Stalin would. This is the company that God keeps? Karma & Rebirth is the better, non-violent way. You are not punished, nor are you simply forgiven because you groveled enough. The most important aspect of Karma is that you are held accountable for your actions, you are reborn, given another chance to make amends.

  • u r a fool.

  • @ramaraksha01 Yes, Krishna the supreme controller, or Isvara parama, is awarding everyone their desires.. That is the law of nature. The material machine, his prakriti energy, is being conducted by his devotees like Bramha, Agni, Yamaraj, and so on.. as is explained throughout Bhagavad Gita as it is by Srila Prabhupada in his translations and wonderful purports.

  • Hello Frankbough1955,

It is true that some people who may refer to themselves as being Hare Krishnas (for some time) may have elements of fanaticism or other undesirable qualities in their character. However, some people who are labeled as atheists, or such and such religion, may also have undesirable qualities. Some of them are, for example, dangerous psychotics. But because some are like this, one doesn't label all 'atheists' as being psychos. You need to look at each person case by case.

  • You refer to some Westerners as changing their clothes styles and hair-cuts. The first point is that only a very very small percentage of members of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness make these changes. The second point is that, what is the harm? If billions of Chinese, Indians, Native Americans, Africans, etc wear Western clothes, why can't a few thousand white skinned people put on some traditional clothes of India when they visit their local temple? I can't see the harm.

  • @frankbough1955 not Hindus.. Aham Bramhasmi.. We are all spiritual by nature constitutionally, as explained in Bhagavad Gita As It Is, second chapter.. If you read it you might come to understand the process, as well as the science.

  • @frankbough1955 Firstly, this is not Hindu religion, secondly, they are not posers, there is a proper method that is followed, finally, they are here to seek the absolute truth, not religion and bull.

  • @frankbough1955 It's not just for show. I'm no longer a devotee of krishna, for various reasons, but I'm a westerner who practiced krishna-bhakti for some years and it was amazing. I can't explain why but there is a taste to be found in this spiritual practice that i've not found anywhere else. I'm a bit too 'rational' to use bhakti as my main vehicle, but still...krishna is gorgeous and sublime, either way.

  • @frankbough1955 you obviously know nothing of krsna, he is NOT vedic, he is universal, you obviously have not read anything

  • I wouldn make fun of sincere beliefs...but I see a lot of hare krishnas end up in macdonalds .Obviously they just want attention like the puerile little twats they are.How can anyone with a developed intellect go from knowing nothing about it to be like that ?

  • Krishna is both Indian and American.

  • You're an idiot. I was taught yoga in India and am Indian. Krishna has several forms, in one he is a baby, a vagrant, a thief, and of course a blue skinned flute player. He is beyond your racial biases. Pray to Krishna that you evolve.

  • You havent answered my question. Why are westerners getting silly haircuts ,wearing Indian clothes and adopting a foreign religion.?They like the music or wantb some of the exoticism to rub off on them?Just looks funny to see westerners doing that .Oh Im not talking about Indians here.

  • @frankbough1955

Just think of it this way: some people like vanilla and some chocolate. As long as they are happy and not hurting anyone, why should you be bothered.

  • @frankbough1955 Jesus was a jew. why, do americans pray to jew? Why do people from all around the world are praying to jew, to Jesus?

  • lovely song

  • Did George Harrison record this song? If yes, on which album?

  • Chant And Be Happy

    1970

  • George invited a group of Krishna devotees to the Apple studios and they recorded this music in April 69. Album called Chant and Be Happy, as msadioz mentions here.

  • @janaki1008 -the album is called "Radha Krishna Temple" -it was recorded Abbey Road Studios by George who produced it and played some of the instruments on it as well.. It is not a George or a Beatles album, but an album of The Hare Krsna Movement, for Srila Prabhupada.. ISKCON. .. George himself was a devotee of Krishna and a follower and supporter of Prabhupada and the ISKCON movement... he rendered great services and loved the Krishna Consciousness movement and the Holy Names of Krishna.
