  • A beautiful place in nature where the city is forgotten as though it never existed!!! Loved it and will view more of these gems over the coming week!!

  • Great footage thanks for showing this. We love it.

  • Glad you enjoyed this one too =) THanks again for watching!

  • @TheNatureStation Is this in Nor ca?

  • @guns4funca This was filmed in Placerita Canyon, which is about 35 miles north of Los Angeles, CA :-)

  • I'm glad you enjoyed the show - thanks for stopping by! =)

  • Outstanding! Thank you!!

  • Glad you liked this one - thanks for checking it out! :-)

  • Heard some crickets yet in your area? :D

  • Oh yea - we got them, but there are so many other man-made noises too that it's hard to get only the natural sounds. I'm working on it though! :-)

  • Good Night!

    Thanks for sharing

I wish you a great Saturday night and a great Sunday

    Peace and hugs!

  • Thanks so much for the visit and kind words! Cheers! =)

  • Nice job getting the shots too! Sorry about the 3 post, just dont have enough space to write about how amazing that place is and how amazing you got these shots. :D

  • I don' think there's such a thing as too much commenting - especially when it's all posiitive :-) Indeed early spring is best for waterfall action, and yes, if one is very adventurous, it's worth climbing up all 30 or so falls to connect with the Los Pinetos trail and then continue all the way past Wilson Saddle to the summit and see the ocean if the air is clear enough! It's a great hike with lots of amazing scenery :-)

  • I do like how it forks off into two different directions too, which direction do you prefer to take?

  • At the first big split, I've always gone right (South), to the first big fall. I explored the left (SSE) route before, but it wasn't as interesting. Byeond the first big fall, there is a long series of about 8 large + many small falls until another split at which I go left, following the main watercourse. It gets VERY brushy but there are some nice falls. Up higher as the waterflow lessens, there is an easy climb up the right slope to the Los Pinetos Trail. Been a while since I went to the top!

  • This place is amazing, and what a good month too! Best time going there is usually from the late fall to early spring, thats when the waterfall is at its strongest.

One thing great about taking the waterfall trail is that it connects with the longer trail (I think it was the "Los Pinetos" trail, I'm not sure, but it goes to higher elevations). The waterfall trail may look like a dead-end trail, but with careful climbing and a bit of armstrength, you can go much, much further.

  • Also adding to the earlier comment,

The further you go beyond their "dead-end", the more beautiful it is, but it also is treacherous and has a lot of natural hazards (snakes, poison ivy, slippery rocks, bee hives, and etc.). Best time for going is during the winter. Don't go during late spring through early fall; I've encountered bee hives, baby snakes, and algae-infested waterfalls just about last month.

  • What a beautiful place to go to and relax. Also, a great place make a video for all to enjoy. Thanks

  • This really is a great place, but it does get a little busy on the weekends. Weekdays are nice though - you pretty much get the whole canyon to yourself most of the time :-) Thanks for visiting!

  • @jcmegabyte Yes, it is beautiful and look forward to more of that! And, I really like that you use natural sound. It's great that you make special trips to get the footage when it's unpopulated.

  • wonderful work love it my friend

  • Thanks, Ingrid! This place is only a few miles from my house - it's nice to have such places nearby :-)

  • Oh, it is the healing sounds.

    I got a natural mind.

    So wonderful!

  • These water vids really do the trick! Thanks for watching! :-)

  • It really is a great place - you ought to take Jessica there for a shoot! :-)

  • Nice one,Chris!

  • This is near a place I like to go gub hunting... there not much flying in this deep dark canyon but lower down the mountain where the stream exits the canyon is some really nice riparian habitat. =)

  • Nice!

  • Thanks so much! :-)

  • la natura ...una sorgente,grazie

  • Thanks so much for watching! :-)

  • I absolutely love your guys' vids. There are so many that could benefit physically, mentally, and, perhaps, spiritually from viewing your work. Sincerely, W

  • Thanka so much! :-)

  • There's no perspective. I can't tell how large the waterfall is. I remember going there forever ago and it was huge, but this doesn't look that big.

  • I've been trying to keep man-made objects/sounds out of my nature videos, so perspective can be tricky to gage. There are 20 or more falls, most of them between 10' to 25'. The fall at 4:36 is about 15', and "The Wall" (as I call it) at 2:44 is a bit over 20'. The waterfall trail goes all the way up to the Los Pinitos trail, but turns into a bushwack about 3/4 of the way up. I've hiked it all the way to Wilson Saddle at the top of the mountain. Great view of the ocean on a clear day :-)

  • Wow. Thank you so much for this response & the other! You've helped a ton. I'm heading out there again tomorrow. :)

  • This is like a massage for my mind...very theraputic! Great shots.

  • This footage was as enjoyable to shoot as it was is to watch later. Hopefully you got to see it in HD - the audio is decent but the video is a bit pixelized and twitchy in SD. Either way - thanks for watching :-)

  • That root at 1:08 was absolute tree porn =P But how did you position yourself for the shot right before it? It felt as if I was suspended in mid air =D

  • Pretty sexy root, eh? ;-) Most of that canyon is fairly easy to navigate down lower, but as you climb higher into the mountains, the trail gets a little more challenging. Some shots were taken looking down the falls from a precarious spot on the rock ledge at the top of the falls, while others were taken from a position on the protruding granite bedrock opposite the falls themselves. Lots of variety in shooting there! :-)

  • Magnifico! 5*****

  • Thanks so much for the view stars and nice comment! :-)

  • beautiful spring, San Gabriel Mountains of Santa Clarita, is my best music

Thank you for sharing this wonder

    a warm greeting

    Raul ...
