  • shame the historival content is minimal, can even see the stone and..why the picture of maggy thatcher i wonder..

  • Pity about the damn annoying and incredibly stupid audio - visual effects that are plastered all over the series, spoiling everything.

This will put a lot of people off watching the videos.

A potentially excellent series obviously crippled from birth by being designed and targetted to the young and trendy types, those who have not yet the life experience of age to realise that the content of these otherwise interesting video productions are presented in such a stupid manner.

  • the real brutus stone is located in totnes devon i walk past it every day to go work

  • I watched the whole thing and still know nothing of The London Stone except that it is important and easy to miss.

  • A great topic to research on, but too focused on the people presenting it than on the subject itself. If more time was spent on the history of London than the distracting effects of the vid cam, it would be more credible.

  • It was neat, but we didn't really learn anything about it. There wasn't much explanation about what it was-- I know it's quite mysterious but there wasn't even mention of any theories. It was just "This is the London Stone stuck randomly in this wall". Maybe the rest will turn out a little better; good luck :)

  • Hey, I dedicated the Second issue of my zine to the Great London Stone :

It's called BINE, find it on my website.

    Cheers,

    David Lasnier

  • Replace the grate with strong glass window!

  • if you looked into it for a second

    ?!!

dull, smug and now clearly arrogant.

  • my mistake, I misread the logo HK is not the History Channel....

  • penguinx9 If this was being made for the History Channel, why are you watching it on Youtube? What is the history of the London Stone you think we're trivilialising, if you looked into it for a second you'd know its history is mysterious, to say the least.

This is merely an intro to our series - take a look at the other adventures and you'll find our explorers seeing incredible ancient things for the first time - this is the adventure we want to share with everyone!

  • As a Londoner, got to agree with you...If this was made by the sixth form of my grammar school on a tiny budget, then I would rate it as a very good effort. But since its obviously made for History channel on a bigger budget, its pretty poor. Dull smug presenters, amateurish and showing very superficial research it appears they want the viewers to have a soundbite type of shallow understanding of our history. It does not do justice to the fantastic history but only trivialises it.

  • Wahoo, out of the gate!!

  • Thanks for all the comments people - this is an interactive series, so we'll be taking all your thoughts on board - you might even be deciding what we do next!

  • Great production value! Can't wait for the next video.

  • Great video, and top picks on all the presenters.

  • Cool video.

  • aw great - I didn't know enough about the London Stone - great start!

  • Thumbs up for all of your efforts. Thanks for posting this!

  • This is just the best really Amazing editing , history has never looked this cool

  • Too much visual and audio??? why don't you just read a book? I think these videos are just wonderful!

  • Not very well filmed, no good structure or feeling for visuals/aesthetic, poor journalism etc

I think it's everything but wonderful, apart from my hometown

    I agree with hacknesaregreat

  • Nice

  • Just can't look at these video's although I would very much like to.

Too much visual and audio unrest.
