  • does anyone know where that sample of the vocal going ' whaoo ye, whaoo ye, whaoo ye' comes from or what is a good track to sample it from?

  • nice cutting up and scratching ,AND SOME B BOYING HIP HOP CULTURE IN EFFECT. ONE GEEBEATS.

  • WTF people that's was not a sample but LIVE scratching on a record!

  • my first cd

  • what is that amazing bassline that closes out the song? it's not "all night long," that's bassline for the bulk of the song. it sounds like a sly & robbie riddim, just in a different key. anyone know it?

  • actually rob base and ez rock got stole it from lyn collins, a song be the name - think.

  • @lukevertiis Boom! You bodybagged every fool talking crap in here with that comment lol Nice one!

  • @TheDogDancer Acapella doesnt exist for this track. It was never released.

  • DOPE ASS BEAT!!!

  • watch Boom Shake the Room and then this back to back - you can see the theme was there from early on even in the way the video has been shot. Kickin!!!!

  • This song and music video basically portrayed the TRUE meaning of MC'ing. Back in the day the DJ was the main attraction in Hip-Hop and the MC/Rapper was sort of like the hype man for the DJ and his skills(Which is probably Hip-Hop's most forgotten original rule). In this song Will is pretty much DJ Jazz's Hypeman just like the original MC's of early hip-hop. People don't usually know this

  • @MA3POLO Truth.

  • This song brings out both Jeff's deejaying and Will's emceeing well.

  • Todays Just Biebers birthday go onto his baby video and dislike it now

  • It was from It takes two i thought

  • does anybody else here the other sample? Sounds like they also sampled Mary Jane Girls - All night long. Anyway Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince are dope.

  • Oh my god...new skool cats don't even kno where this sample came from! Rob Base & Dj Ez Rock It takes two. Not Black eyed peas. Do ya'll research...u have youtube at your disposal lol

  • The title is misleading. I was looking for other Twisted Sister video and i came across this shit. It's suppose to be I wanna RAP! NOT ROCK! Total insult to rock music.

  • OMG FRESHPRINCE<3FTW

  • Y'all realize that Rob Base sampled a Lyn Collins record in the first place right? Sampling is a huge part of music, and it's been around forever.

  • {{{blow'n chunks}}}

  • Have there been any remix's of this song done. We had it at prom but it was faster and such.

  • 74 people are lil wayne fans

  • Pure rap moves, rythm, music...that's REAL deal: Old school rap RULES. Without all the fucking "gansters" "bling, bling

  • OLD SCHOOL RAP RULES!!!

  • this song gets me reeeaaaaaal loose!

  • Will smith! =P

  • reminds me of being a kid. A friends uncle gave me a mix he made and this was on it. I WANNA ROCK RIGHT NOW!

  • I dont care if you call it sampling, it is stealing plain and simple. Just because you put a different name on it doesn't mean your not a worthless talentless piece of shit. Black Eyed Peas and Snoopdogg have been B list music for a long time, and they will steal anything. fuck them.

  • @irishusmc22 yeah, like TyWalkerMusic said, all old school hip-hop was almost entirely sampling. Sampling when used creatively can still be an amazing "instrument." And old school DJs derserve a lot of credit, scratching without a computer program to store samples and songs or show you the waveforms, give you effects, etc.

Sampling is an art, as much as any other instrument, I would say.

  • @irishusmc22

It aint stealing if it is paid for, they can't use it if it aint cleared, and sampling has brought artist out of obscurity!

  • @irishusmc22 haha bullshit. When did u start listening to hiphop? When Lil Gayne got big? LOL. Anyway, old school beats were made by DJ's who would essentially REMIX and old tune, and chop it up, and add other samples of other pieces of work, taking little by little different things and elements of various other tunes, to make a MEGAMIX, which would be the beat the rapper would rap to. And yes the samples had to get cleared, so they're not stealing. I compose however, and I do not sample.

  • @irishusmc22 I was sampling to make beats before you were born farmboy..

  • damn, jazz is fuckin ill at turn tables

  • WILL SMITH!!! WOW

  • @TheDogDancer (Rob Base DJ E Z Rock - It Takes Two)

  • what year is this

  • @TheDogDancer As others have posted Rob Base and DJ E-Z Rock It Takes Two is where you find the sample. "I wanna rock right now. I'm Rob Base and I came to get down."

  • Oldddd..

  • BEST

  • Comment removed

  • :O thats right .....Men Without Hats have the original (not sure)

  • Dope!

  • Dope!

  • Black Eyed Peas and Snoop Dogg both stole the "I wanna rock right now" sample!

  • @pyronicalnz Alot of people use the sample.

  • @pyronicalnz plus theirs is lame

  • @pyronicalnz You do know this isn't the original right? they all took it from Rob Base. Then lil gaymeo(lil romeo) stole pretty much the entire song.

  • @pyronicalnz fuck snoop and black eyed peas and every body who steals music and calls it sampling

  • @J8neSez

so basically f*ck Will and Jazz too? cuz they used the sample too... it's originally Rob Base - DJ EZ Rock... "It Takes Two"

There is nothing wrong with sampling. they all gave credit where due,

  • @J8neSez so sayin fuck ppl who steal music is like sayin you dont understand the history of hiphop or know bout it.. so in this case you sayin fuck rockwilder, pete rock, public enemy, beastie boys,ll cool j samplin has been part of hiphop since day 1 its stealin when its not cleared you get it cleared its not stealin the orginal artists still gets paid off it dummy. so read your history before you say something

  • @djbigtymebeats they cant come up with their own music so they have to steal beats from other music and other genres which is sad and pathetic. all moron rap people just listen to great music white people made from the 50s 60s 70s 80s and 90s and then steal them beats to make some crap ass so called music that is just annoying and irritating when heard. you heard me. fuck em and fuck you too. stupid ass plageristic cRappers

  • @pyronicalnz ya but black eyed peas said that the song: rock that body was inspired by it takes two by rob base

  • @pyronicalnz

    false

  • @pyronicalnz that sample is actually from Rob Base and DJ EZ rock's It Takes two

  • @pyronicalnz

that sample is actually from Rob Base and DJ EZ rock's It Takes two

  • @pyronicalnz the ORIGINAL came from "IT TAKES TWO" performed by Rob Base & EZ Rock

  • @pyronicalnz Well, Jazz did nick it from Rob Base anyway.

  • @pyronicalnz What are you talking about? DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince are sampling that line from Rob Base & DJ EZ Rock´s IT TAKES TWO.

  • @pyronicalnz so did spongebob

  • @pyronicalnz stole the sample? or they just sampled

  • what is this shit? I think they need a good dose of Twisted Sister. then they'd know what wanting to rock was about. This is utter tosh

  • dude wtf you talking about twister sister is real rock and that gay shit sucks

  • he's not a looker. but I'm not looking to shag him. but let's be fair, this music shouldn't be titled with 'I wanna rock' should it? Come over to the rock section sometime and you're more than welcome to give us grief when we start naming our records 'I'm a lovely soul boy mixing it up'
