The War of Independance is really interesting, dont you guys think it's unfair that the Dutch, French and Spanish Teamed with the Americans to fight off us, the British? lol. Well to be honest they did well, after the declaration of independance was signed by delegates of the 13 colonies on July 4th 1776, they were almost unbeatable with George Washington, the Spanish, French and Spanish, if we won the war America would be part of the British Empire :D

In reality the British Army was the smallest of the major European Power's and was poorly lead. The Prussian army should dominate every other force in that game, in reality they could average 5 shots a minute.

i think the british armies were brilliantly lead, the britsh army managed to take over a 4th of the world something no other country managed to acheive plus it had the greatest navy in europe

Yes i completely agree but they also hid in the forest the french used this against the british and colonial forces in the french and indian war. one time a arrogant british officer was shot and George Washington took control of the remaining forces. also theres a group of soldiers and indians called "Morgan's Rifles" who fought in the trees like the natives did.

That works very well in wooded areas and against supply convoys and the such, but you can't take an open plain or a city doing that against a well trained and regimented army. So unless your plan of action is to hide in the forest and pray the enemy goes away you will have to fight them with well organized formations and tactics eventually. At least in the 18th century you did.

The indians would have done a whole heck of a lot better in combat if the diseases didn't kill so many of them. Also if they would have united together and not fought against each other and the intruding nations at the same time.

thats not necessarily true. it all depends on what kind of system(processor) he has. you can just throw in a brand new 280GTX in any old box and expect a miracle. Bostontodaship needs to do some research. It might be time for him to get a new machine.

yeah thats what i mean i want to sail around the cape horn(in africa), but i dont know how :( ill probably just have to play a little longer. i think it has something to do with trade routes that i have to open. because africa is not on the map only north africa.

if you look at the map their are these gray rectangular boxes on the edge of one of the three maps send ships into those boxes and you will be on another map

in empires they are what you call "minor nations" they are unplayable factions throughout the game that you can neither play online with or on campaign however they are on campaign and easy to conquer or make them your protectorate
