At this point Rakim is in his own Legendary status.. But so is Jay Z. Both legends- either can easily be called the G.O.A.T. But I'm goin with Jay . I mean Rakim was a raw lyricist but so is Jay Z. I also think Jay has a more diverse subject matter- he makes both thought provoking songs nd club bangers nd I prefer his flow-its so versatile. Ra dominated the olds school but over time I dnt think any rapper has dominated rap like Jigga. Jay has been far more consitent aswell- I mean Ra's last 2 solo albums have been terrible- nd I am Rakim fan!
