lol these thinge are $4 at the flea market hahaha, mtech is a garbage brand that makes crappy knockoffs, instead of wasting $30 on this garbage that will last a week, just pay a lil extra and get something that will last like a kershaw, buck, gerber or browning, they have knives that are in the same price range and will last longer
@Fosg8 i know nothing about blades. though i just got mine for decoration. sorry for buying an mtech... i got it for like 18$. it has a nice wood handle, and i really like the look of it. again, i only got it for decoration.
I really like these knives because of the value. It's not as good as a $50 or $100 knife but they work great and if it breaks, it's no big deal to buy another one. Almost all of my work knives have been Mtechs.
I got this particular knife from Big 5 on super sale for $10. I will send you a link to the web site that sells them. This one is called the MTech M3030 Linerlock.
can u tell me what grade steel is the blade made from 440c or 420c i wona buy an mtech just dont know with what to go with have u any sites to recommened with the best variety of mtech knifes ?
I is 4 7/8" closed with a 440 stainless blade with bead blast finish, ambidextrous thumb studs, Stainless frame with G-10 inlays, and a stainless pocket clip as the cherry on top. I know you already answered your own question but I thought I would too, because it makes me feel smart. : ) As far as websites go I know one with a really good variety. I will send you the link.
do u know anything about other m-tech knives??? i just bought a mt013s but i wanna know if its a gravity or assisted opening knife. and do you know if its legal to carry around?
I was recently talking to my lawyer friend about this exact subject. If you can flip the blade open just by flicking your wrist, then it is a gravity knife and therefore illegal. But if you have to push anything (ie. thumb stud) and then flick your wrist that is a regular liner lock knife that's legal to carry at least in California. I don't know a whole lot about laws in other states, because I don't have to. I would check with your local law enforcement just to be safe.

Cool looking knife! Liked the way the black made the silver pop! Would have liked to have seen you opening knife more to see how fast it will open.

This is a linerlock is it not? Rather than a lockback. Nice looking knife anyway. :)

420hc is a way better steel than 440
primitivehunter15 3 years ago
No, 440 is actually considered better by most, a little less corrosion resistant, but it has better edge retention and hardness.
