at 10:00, to those who arent korean, im korean, and the thing at 10:00, the first and second sound exactly the same and the third and fourth one sound exactly the same so dont worry
the characters of the korean language have always attracted me; i never knew the heaven/ground/man thing wow :) the silent consonant is like the aleph in hebrew. I want to learn both (ノ^▽^)ノ♡
Hi, first thanks for your efforts. But if you count the consonants at 03:00 ... there are 13 and you say they are normally 14 ... I am confused a little bit please explain....
after so many years, this is still the best and complete hangeul teaching video on youtube. i always show it to my friends when they are interested in learning it. you know, kpop fever and stuff :P
I have a big interest in languages, but I have no grasp of Korean at all, so this is very interesting! Thank you very much for these videos! You are very easy to listen to, and you explain very well.
PLEASE!! NEVER STOP WHAT YOU'RE DOING!! YOU COULD BE THE FIRST ON WHAT YOU'RE DOING AND PROBABLY WILL REVOLUTIONIZE THE WHOLE WORLD!!! iM being serious too XDD ive always wanted to learn korean :)!!
This is perfect! ^^ I have a friend who is a beginner to Korean. I'll send him a link to this page, I'm sure he'll appreciate this video very much. A good way to start learning Korean in my opinion, great job!
After watching a bunch of instructional videos before this one, this one seems more comprehendable. Out of all the videos though, yours is the most professional (without cheesy puns), likeable (seriously, you're adorable!!) and most informed, and what I love is that you make the pronounciation easier to identify and you put in the history of the writing system as well. <3
I got a quick question what is the difference between the First set of Basic Consonants to the second set the (4 new ones introduced in 18:15)? Thanks.
Okay, I wrote down the phonetic letters of each characters. When that wasn't enough, I kept on listening on how Jenny says the character, and then I wrote out words under the phonetic letters that help me see how the characters are supposed to be pronounce.
@Yeswhatever ㅚ has a high tone, ㅙ has a slightly higher tone, and ㅞ has a lower speed and shorter tone. They all sound the same, except that they have different speeds and tones. They sound like Spanish "tú".
yh i was just wondering what her real name is, cuse i know a lot of Korean people will change their name to an english name if they are working abroad or whatever. Jenny doesnt sound very Korean xD
@Dylan20121 Yeah, I happen to be an English teacher here in Korea and most younger Koreans have an English name as a nickname. Even other Koreans call them by their nicknames sometimes more than their Korean names. My name is 조슈아 or Joshua. Same thing in Korean as it is in English.
