To complete a level 3 charm (epic charm) do u have to complete the level 2 charms that it requires? Or do I just need to complete the level 3, and add the charms?

Yeah, you need to complete the level two charms before slotting them into the level three one. You can complete the quest associated with the level three charm before or after slotting in the level two charms.

My lv 50 cyber bio-engineer (with the full elite armor set) has TWO of the WEAPON/ARMOR +1 to ALL SKILLS Graviton Pulse charm completed and equipped and one that has all the charms it needs but the quest is only about 1/5 complete (kill 12,000 enemies in the air). My engineer's staff can also create a toxin pool VERY OFTEN.

yeah you have to put in charms. it goes like this-runes go into level 1 charms and complete lv1 charms go into the purple lv2 charms and the complete lv2 charms go into the red lv3 charms. plus complete the lv3's main quest(like kill[x] enemies) and then its active, of course u have to have it equipped.

yeah. i didnt figure that out for awhile but i did later on. i was confused why my purple charms were not working and i remembered that i didnt put in runes so i tried but i couldnt n for some reason there were a couple at the bottom separate from the runes. those are the charms that go into it. same wit epic. if u look at the purple CHARMS, ull match them with the symbols on the bottom of epic charms [where runes go into lv1 (grey) charms]. Kinda frustrating and more challenging.

stupid question but how do you use a charm? I'm a level 33 champion and i still dont have the trial of Ascendance achievement. Can someone explain how to get this achieve

Choose the charm you want to use - find out what it requires and fulfill that. That means doing the main quest (kill undead, find blueprints, etc...) and then fill the other requirements - add in charms or runes.

To get the benefit of the charm you need to fill it, do the quest, AND have it in one of the two slots.

I am working on my charm quest for this, it is to kill 4000 enemies with a hit counter of 40 or higher. I am around 2,500 now, i was gunna run some Helheim since that location supplies lots of enemies all at once.

you do realise that hit count is actually the amount of combo you have dont you? so every kill after your combo is 50 or more counts, its not the enemies health

This version is Weapons/Armor - so it has a chance to fire off when you hit something, shoot something, get hit or get shot.

There are also weapon-only and armor-only versions.

Yeah, it has to be in the active slot to reap the benefits. Otherwise you'd quickly become insanely powerful.

Look at the charm - it has two sections to worry about: the function and the requirements.

The function is what the Charm does, for example, randomly cause a small explosion when you hit something (if it says weapon) or when you're hit (if it says armor) - some say both.

The requirements are what you need to do to complete it.. One requirement is the quest - you'll have to gather 50 blueprints or kill 200 enemies, stuff like that. The other is the rune/charm requirement.

Level 1 Charms need to be filled with runes - just equip the charm, hit x and slot in runes. Doesn't matter which ones you choose, the effect is lost...so use the cheap ones. When the charm is filled with runes and the quest is done, it's active and you get the benefit so long as it's equipped.

Level 2 Charms need you to do the quest, but require being filled with completed level 1 Charms instead of Runes. Level 3 Charms require being filled with completed level 2 Charms, but provide the best effects.
