@97teledlx Thanks! The settings I used were primarily the default settings for the "Twin", "Vox", and "Eddie van Halen". I copied them right out of the manual and tweaked them to best fit my guitar and playing style. From what I recall they didn't deviate that much from the factory setup, other than adding a bit more midrange to suit my personal preference.
Remember that the Tri-AC has built-in speaker and mic simulation. So, you actually need to turn off the Guitar Port's mic simulation, and turn off the compression and mic simulation in the software. That's why there's added compression to the sound right now.
@trendsettingdesign Everything is disabled, there's no cabinet emulation active. Early reflections on the "mic" simulation are also defeated.
After much listening, yes, there is far too much compression on here as many have pointed out. -25dB is kind of ridiculous. A casuality of impromptu recording! Thanks for watching, though.
@xdux I didn't use the camcorder microphone. The first 30 seconds of the video explain how it was recorded. This is a direct recording - no external microphones were used at all.
It's meant to show the capabilities of a small, relatively inexpensive product to help guitarists - 6-string and bassists - get their sound without actually having to mic up an amp.
I agree it's compressed, muddy I beg to differ - but the point was to show that you don't need an expensive studio to get demo-ready tracks.
Nope, the Tri-AC is the "amp". I'm plugged directly into the Tri-AC, and the Tri-AC is plugged into my computer's audio interface. You could achieve the exact same sounds by bringing the Tri-AC to a gig, and plugging directly into the PA using a direct box. No amp needed.
Nice playing. I need to dial in the tones here. Thanks for sharing.

is it possible to adjust the amount of compression on dah pedal??
14IRONcoltonMAIDEN14 1 year ago
@14IRONcoltonMAIDEN14 The pedal doesn't have on-board compression, so you're free to use whatever compressor you'd like. Thanks for watching!

@jacknarcotta the audio compression can be due to Youtube's compression.

Doesn't sound good. I guess I don't understand the objective here. It all sounds muddy and compressed.
