This game is just like God of War... they made another non-canon story of Castlevania to make this game and copied GoW gameplay style... They also used the Religion thing to make the game just like GoW, but in this game another creed is used, the Catholic, and GoW used greek mythology.

The main reason why everyone calls GOW a ripoff is because it copied the third person slashing genre from DMC, for wich DMC was known for. The only thing that this game has in common with and might've used from GOW are the quicktime events. Also, the attacks are based on area and on a single person. You're saying this game is a ripoff just because it has whips and quick time events...

This games' weapon is based on a whip, and is a hack 'n slash game so it's obviously going to look like GOW.

I agree this game is influenced by GOW, but not only by GOW, and so is GOW from many other games.

For Christ sakes. Before you talk people THINK. CastleVania, the franchise has been around longer than GOW and all that nonsense. Yes the game has aspects from other games, but don't go saying THEY came before this. I played the first Symphony of the Night on PS in '97, last time I checked that was 3 years before PS2 was released, and years before any those games you call Castlevania a "copy" of.

How do you kill it the second time through? When you go back and replay this level. I can't kill it. I think it might be a glitch. There are 2 main reasons why people keep saying that: 1/ GoW was an excellent action game. It has some of (if not, all of) the best ideas to screw people's lives, and no one can think of a weapon cooler than the swift, long range, shining and devastating one (aka the blades of chaos/athena/exiles) that kratos has. That's why every other good action games are similar to GoW, cause they're only doing the best things they can think of.

Literally this game had many gameplay aspects from many games,GOW's combat,Shadow of Colossus titanic boss battles,and POP's platforming.But the reason I respect this game is the reason it took these aspects and made them its own.Just like how GOW took DMC's hack and slash idea and made it better.I dont see a reason to hate another hack and slash just purely because of gameplay being similar to another.I always see that as a good thing because its giving recognition to another great game.

I agree. I think that this game is more than just a "simple action game" though, it's actually a very good action-adventure game with mind-blowing graphic. However, it's simply not castlevania, and it focuses too heavily on action. Just give this game a different name ( and different character names to avoid copyright bullshit) and everyone's happy. Just like good old megaman, true castlevania games should only be in 2D
