  • So I've seen the Swedish one, "Let the Right One In", but I haven't seen this one. Do they keep the scene where he asks what would happen if she came in uninvited, and she starts bleeding?

  • I want a big coat like that

  • Casey Jones with a porn 'stache was the icing on the cake for this flick. : d

  • americans always copying things

  • @weykmanfr god forbid we remake a foreign film.

  • @kingsalamander123 A foreign film? u mean loads of them haha

  • The plot is so brilliant, but the magic between the child and vampire are missing. You need to watch Let the Right One In for that.

  • 2012 is Coming !

  • Watch the movie " Let the right one in" Its in russian with subtitles, but it is a sensational movie, "Let me in" is the same story in english. I loved the moive in russian

  • @beautifulbee420 lol at all the rabid correction comments you got. it is indeed actually swedish, altho i will refrain from wishing a grisly death upon you for this one minor mistake lol for all i know you got a russian dubbed copy or something.

  • WATCH THE ORIGINAL PEOPLE. EDUCATE YOURSELVES AND EMBRACE OTHER CULTURES.

  • @TheOrdinary85 yeah, he did :D

Dunno why... And he's not her father either.

  • @QUATR00 thanks! :) i think it's simply because he did it all for Abby. :)

  • @TheOrdinary85 I like it how I was watching the movie and Abby was always like "Can I come in..?"..

I then realized one thing. There is an old superstitious belief that a vampire cannot come in uninvited (I remember my mom telling me that way way back). So I was like - "cool...". My girlfriend didn't know that so I explained that to her as well :)

I like it when movie makers tap into the sources of old superstitions and stuff for their movies :)

  • @QUATR00 lol yeah i love when they make movies about mythology or ancient beliefs

and i love it even better when they make into an epic battlescene where the set is completely obliterated

  • @thetruelatinomale That's what I'm talkin' about, dude :)

    Those are usually great!

  • @QUATR00 it wasnt the movie makers that tapped into it it was the author of the book

  • @QUATR00 It's really the first time anyone dove into that myth. Great stuff!

  • @itzjoeymac yeah, it is :)

A movie called Devil was also quite nice, but not as cool.

  • @QUATR00 it's not a superstitious belief. the idea of a vampire was created by Bram Stoker in Dracula, he created every single part of vampires and their vempiric abilities.

  • @alex6734 I guess we could all agree that many of the concepts from various resources become wide-spread beliefs :)

  • @QUATR00 we could all agree that rabbits defecate jelly beans.

  • @utubebgay Would you like some of those? :D

  • @alex6734 (whispering) "Are you a troller? Are you involved in some kind of troll-cult? If there's others involved, we'll find them..." (j/k)

But seriously, are you misinformed or what? Vampire stories have been around since the first civilizations, eventually developing into the more modern versions like Carmilla (which predates Dracula by 25 years). Stoker's work gets the credit because his story was the first REALLY popular vampire book, but it didn't exactly recreate vampires.

  • @alex6734 wow... you are terribly, monstrously misinformed and ignorant of the history involved here. transylvannia, romania, hungary, - none of these places was a birthplace for vampiric legend, but merely places where various bits of the vampire legend took root and changed over time. Bram stoker based his 'Dracula' very vaguely on Vlad Tepes the second, or Vlad Draculea, also known as kizikli bai (sp?) who was indeed a real person. the romanians don't even call them 'vampire'.

  • @utubebgay The Bram from Sharon, Lois and Bram? Cool. >:D

  • @QUATR00 Umm.. you do know that this is a book? She clearly states that vampires can't enter rooms uninvited.

  • @QUATR00 The movie was from a book, most movies that were made from books are epically astonishing to watch! --except the weenee twilight thing /:)

  • @Ahya728 Twilight is a disgrace... xD

  • Am I in Yet? Would be a way better title for this movie.

  • That's so sad when he writes "I'm sorry Abby". When I first watched this I was like "Am I watching the same movie?" and when this part showed up in the movie I was like "aww he died for her"

  • @GoaskAlice47 thx for ruining the movie i was going to see it.

  • @Spyderschwinky Good thing I just saw the movie in the cinema and only now read such comments xD

    So nothing got ruined :)

Actually, the less stuff you watch before the movie itself - the better you viewing experience will be.

  • @QUATR00 wow congrats

  • Why not just release the Swedish movie as it is in America with subtitles?

It just feels cheap watching something like this when it's just a poor adaption of the original. I recommend everyone to get their hands on Låt den rätta komma in with subs instead.

  • @KEYSERH0RZE i prefer this movie, im not saying the orignal bad but this one made me feel like it was actualy happen home. also made me wish i kinda going through the same thing as the boy.

  • @KEYSERH0RZE why not just appreciate that theyre both great movies?

  • @utubebgay Well, I don't consider the American adaption to be great, but then again; that's _my_ opinion.

  • lovely bones is a gud film and so is th sweedish version of this im hopin this one is just as gud

  • was he mr. harvey in the lovely bones?

  • Comment removed

  • @chauncy424 no but he does kinda look like him

  • @MarissaRocks216 Actually, at first I thought he was talking to a teenager or something until I saw the hand and I realized it wasn't a kid after all. So sad when he falls from the building tho to think that he did that for abby

  • @chauncy424 It was Stanley Tucci

  • @chauncy424 No, that was Stanley Tucci. This is Elias Koteas, who admittedly does look similar enough for me to have confused the two of them a few times :)

  • i think he's playing steffan from the actual book

  • Stop whispering I Cant Hear Anything

  • whoever remembers the original TMNT movie, that guy is Cassey

  • @tylerdurden455 Really?!? :O

  • @tylerdurden455 Mr. Jones yes I know he was in the Shooter too :D

  • isn't that the dude from the lovely bones?

  • @TeamJacobx12 no, he's the guy from 'the fourth kind'.

  • @BreakingHorizons really? who did he play cuz I dont remember him

  • @BreakingHorizons he plays the main character's (Milla Jovovich) doctor.

  • @TeamJacobx12 is the movie Lovely Bones good?

  • @OPL21stJS its alright
