First saw Melissa in 1988 when she was supporting Huey Lewis and The News at the NEC in Birmingham. She was FANTASTIC!!! Best concert i have ever been to. I know that its easy to say after the event, but it looked so obvious even back then that she was destined to have a big career. Also saw her the following year (i think) in Manchester, where Andrew Cash was supporting her, and that was another fantastic gig. Quite small venue so was able to get really close. Very happy memories!!!!!
I first heard this song as a soundtrack to the movie Roxie Carmichael something, the movie was very easy to forget but not the song.I remember pausing the VCR to see the artist and have been hooked on Melissa Etheridge since then!!!!
First heard No Souvenirs one Saturday afternoon about 20 years ago. Loved it, but like you ,no one I knew had heard of her Have you seen Melissa and Joss Stone performing Janis Joplin??
@berniebunny1 OMG there is more of us!!! lol. Im from England too - MASSIVE Melissa fan - thought i was the only one in england. lol. Anyways, i think ive recovered from the shock of finding out its not just me in this country! haha
this is my favorite Melissa Etheridge song I think it didn't get played enough when it first came out, they were playing it for a short time then i never heard it agian till i found it here.
When I heard this song for the first time in '89, I knew I was slain. This is Melissa's best song and one of my personal top ten of all time.
