  • Charlie Pride had that unmistakable voice and style that transcended all races of people...what a tremendous talent...this is what real classic Country Music sounds like...Taylor Swift, are you taking notes??

  • @erikmamai hi and pleeeeeeeease from me too....

  • padoem padoem padoem padoem.

  • Great song. Used to dance to it in the dawn

or rock and roll. Composer was Jack

Clement who also wrote another Johnny

Cash hit: Ballade of a Teenage Queen.

I read Jack once had a young kid named Elvis

    Presley open for him.

Used to dance to those songs at sock hops

    about half a century ago.

    Tnx 4 the nostalgic post.

  • beautiful heartbreaker

  • You just might be good enough to get a recording contract someday.

  • 1 of the best, rain drippin off the brim of my hat.

  • what a legend, greatest singer of all time

  • Such a good voice!

  • Just stopping in to share National Sunday Law by A. Jan Marcussen=)

  • Great listening and even greater singing! WOW what a lovely voice

  • jcs version is way better

  • 5*****

  • Only version I have heard, other than Johnnys. Very good

  • I love this song... I think is better than the Johnny Cash version but he's great too. Thanks.

  • No way this is better than Johnny's version. Anyone who thinks that doesn't know a thing about music.

  • What's your point? I'm not saying who is worst, the way Charley Pride sings in this one is different, It's special to me.

  • By saying this is better you are saying JC's is worse. Duh.

  • not necessarily, it sounds better to me and may to the most of people comment around here but I said that he's great too.

Worse is a word that can't be used toward such great guys.

  • and me too i agree..

  • Great piece with a lot of Rhythm, will be great on a Juke Box

  • I love Charley's version, and Johnny's version. They both sound great to me.

  • TAKES ME HOME

  • Fabulous version of a Johnny classic.

    It's great.

  • Thank you for this Charlies been one of my favorites for several years now!

  • Such a class act. The world's a better place because of you Charley. Thank you for sharing the beautiful gift that is your timeless voice. And thank you Alan for all the videos. They are gems to be treasured!

  • It doesnt matter if the guy who sings it is black or white. GOD. But Johnnys version will always stand the test of time without being beaten man!

  • James Taylor cant sing his own songs very well, how is he going to sing somebody else`s song`s real good - IMPOSSIBLE.......

  • Johnny And Charlie where great friends. But I think both Where at the same greatness. THere both the greaest country singers that ever lived. ole Charlie is the prime example that you dont have to be white to be a southerner, country singer, or a Redneck. Never judge a man on his color of skin. Judge hiem by his character. God Bless you Charlie

  • HERE HERE!!

  • Ol Johnny Cash´s version is better

  • It didn't matter who's song Charley sang, it turned out perfect! Heck, he could sing the phone book, and it would probably reach #1!

  • So great!

  • If James Taylor did this song it would be the greatest song ever produced.

  • i would fall asleep if he did this song. If James Taylor does any song, I would fall asleep.

  • so different from his others...i like it!

  • great song by mr country himself.this guy is my all time favourite.

  • Never heard this version, pretty good, Charlie had a bunch of good songs.

  • Thankyou AlanPaladin that was great.

  • The only version of this that I ever heard had been Johnny Cash. Charlie sings a real good version of his own.

  • I'm back for another listen..love this song:)

  • One of my all-time favs..thank you again:)
