Bring back the riots! Life was so much simpler back then. You just needed to 'get on your bike', if you could afford one, and get down to the Jobclub and sit around with all the miners looking for work.
I never had a problem with finding work. I found not looking helped alot. Wait until the dole often threatenned to stop your benefit before going to the job centre. Get them to stamp a form and back home to the Old Speccy and await the next giro.
Thats what i thought but cheers for clearing it up for me.

Yeah! this game was written during the Miners Strike in 1984. The miners were protesting against pit closures.
