I've been wanting a dog for seven years since my last dog, if I still want one after that long that says something. By want I mean REALLY want, not just it would be nice to have one. So I am going to get one, one day I will, and I will train it and love it and do agility with it and exercise it and play with it and use positive reward training and never let it go. Sorry i just felt like I needed to get that outta my system. :)

Hi. i've been reading and watching everything about clicker training. fascinating! i've purchased a clicker already. but my border collie just got home, 4 days ago. she's about 6/7 weeks old. The 1 thing i didn't find is - WHEN should i start clicker training. She's a very young puppy, obviously atenttion is not her strong aspect right now. does this mean it is to soon to start? also, did you muffle your clicker ? would appreciate the help from a border collie owner with more experience. thanks!

As a parent of a border collie I know how smart these dogs are but your friend is incredible. Any one of those tricks is awesome but the whole show, WOW ! The excitement and willingness to perform is amazing. Thanks for sharing.

I just brough home my first border collie last night. She is 4months old and a little on the shy side. I hope one day she is half as smart as yours in these videos. Working on house training now. @ZephyrsBell I've started training Chase ever since he was a puppy. He learned all of these behaviors in over a year time. Any dogs can focus on their owner try making training more exciting by lots of praise, food and toys :)

We love Chase!! :D Pawsome training and tricks! His "spread 'em" trick was adorable, as was his his tissue retrieving and piggy bank trick, and his walking handstand is looking wonderful. :D I must also add, he is quite the Skateboarder Collie! ;)

lmfao "that was easy" @ the end. Awesome training. Im a first time BC owner. Had him for a year now. Boy was it hard in the beginning, but it all payed off. I had a quick question:

Ive taught him nearly everything he knows with the clicker and treats.. although he doesnt seem too interested in learning new tricks now .. i want to describe it as.. hes not "willing". Hell do all the old tricks and then just kind of give up.

Any advice?
