Total agreement here. I'm part of a group based at KSU. We get some spectators. If they start laughing at us, we hand them a sword and kick them onto the field. We once mauled a fraternity 3 times in a 10 v 10 team battle. It was beautiful
Yeah nothing's better than owning a bunch of cocky douchebags. I especially love it when they consider themselves "athletes" and us nerds hit harder than them!
I completely agree in the fact that there is no reason to be making fun of us. This is not LARPing, if anything this is Fictional Live Action Sparring. It is reinacting battles that never were, and is meant as a fun sport of skill. We all have our own reasons to loving what we do, but when it comes down to screaming out your car at those during dag practice and calling them out, there's no reason for the mocking. Show respect all around, the golden rule, friends.
btw, I thought you were in Ohio, where exactly are you dude? I'll drive over and play if you guys still play. Everybody broke up in Alliance. I used to play quite a bit, but I only get to play like maybe a few times a month tops and I'm fuckin bored. I still got weapons and shit, but it's dead here on Dagohir.
@AlmostOuttaHellview militi has many divisions i think 12 maybe 13, im part of diving 11 in highland indiana and militia as a whole unit isnt really together often. there are militia events and at events like badon hill or ragnarok militia will get together soemtimes camp in the same area. you should look into where the closest division to you is
AND to your bullshit about Legolas; Elves were the highest respect character in Lord of The Rings. As a matter of fact, book and movie, Legolas takes the fewest hits of any character. The Elves are completely escaping the war in Middle Earth. They're not ieven sticking around for the woes of man.
Dagorhir beats boring sports, helps you make friends, gives good exersize, and allows you to live out those dreams you had as a kid. There is no downside. Also we are official down her in Australia so YES! just thought id mention that.
We're official here in northeast Ohio too. The midwest (and yes you mother fuckers, Ohio IS midwest, I've been here for eight years) in America is perfect for Dagohir. With the hills and shit, but yea dude, you're totally right, it's so productive. It's badass cardio. And I'm a firm believe in going full contact and shit. It's way funner and more realistic. But whatever, house rules
4:00 thats becuse legolas gimli and strider are just that awsome, it dosnt matter how strong u are, if your fighiting a more skillful worrior, your in trouble
I recently joined Dag in Lake county, I go to the practices in Griffith. Haven't been in long enough for one of the events to happen. Only been to 2 practices. I am a member of blooodpool
What most of these guys who make fun of Dagorhir and LArps in general. Is atleast they're getting exercise and hvaing fun. It beats sitting behind a computer screen playing an MMO. And you get to make new friends and have fun at the same time.
Id love to play dag, my friend talks about it ALL the time. and of course I try to get him to talk about it too lol. No one that i know of plays aroung here though :/
its just like the intimidation factor you have becuase you look more intimidating than the guy you are fighting he will be kinda scared...i don't believe in it tho
I just played Dagorhir for the first time a few days ago. I was lucky enough to have played with the Militia. I had no idea who they were at the time but now I understand why I was getting blown out of the water. I particularly liked Jester, he backed up proof of one of my actually decent kills with my bow. (A good 50-60 feet away)
Very good documentary, im down here in Australia so i cant play in a big group since there are no official groups here. But im going to make an official group here soon just need some members to start it up
Very well made documentary. Love all the make-up and prosthetics you guys wear, and the savageness of it all. I've started an unofficial group back here in merry old England, and we cannot wait until 2 of us are 18, so we can go official!
Still, nice vid. Can you tell me what kinds of stores sell leather you can make into armous? I've found some in cloth stores, but it is too flimsy for armour.
YEAH! Hail Militia! Orks is green, green is best! Rider of Welcrie here, glad to see a serious documentary from you guys out there. I hope to see you all on the battlefield again soon. Thanks to you guys who came out for Battle and Barbeque weekend!

Why are people getting scared though?
The weapon doesn't hurt on the body, which is what people aim for (and thank god for that).
ImproveYourLifeNOW 2 years ago
what you mean people scared?
Locker344 2 years ago
He said he is able to weaken his opponants by scaring them.
I dont get scared, because it doesn't hurt.
Why does others get scared when the weapons doesn't hurt you, when they hit your body?
That's what I meant.

does any one know of a larping group in northern nj?
kvkorn78 2 years ago
do u happen to kno how many people a unit normally consists of?
Locker344 2 years ago
It usually depends on geographical location or something similar to that. Units make up chapters, and chapters make up realms.

Well done. I notice you had to put something in there about people calling you names at practice. We get that a lot, too.
One thing, was there footage of the SCA in there? Right when you started to talk about Ragnarok, it looked (and sounded) like SCA footage.
