  • I love you Mavis!! I love how Mavis sings her soul and fire comes out. Great video !! I will see you tonight at Brock Centre for the arts Mavis. Hope to meet you and give you a big sister hug!! <3

  • Such a great video, all we have is each other folks, and we need to take care of each other.

  • Is this video free of user rights? I want to you use it for a public presentation.

  • Such an AwEsOmE recording....so powerful!

  • Wow! Sing it!

  • Does anyone know when this song first came out?

  • @lexiroseredzz 2007, I think. From the album "We'll Never Turn Back"

  • watching this video breaks my heart how can people be so ugly to another person.

  • I love this video :) Truly moving <3

  • Why do great video contributions like this get the dumbest comments and shit like Katy Perry and whatever shallow crap kids watch these days gets the positive feedback? A lot of you need to take some age-old advice and if you don't have something decent to say, SHUT THE FUCK UP.

  • This is Jacob Talors favorite video in youtube!

  • Notice how the attack the Blacks from the back and in group. Cowards!

  • this is why i'm wary among normal people because it was everyday ordinary folks that carried out this violence not some fringe element nutcases.

  • this images are crazy... I never though the race revolution in the US was so intense.

  • @ayalandrea You have no idea, watch ‘Goodbye Uncle Tom’ for starters – it was banned in the U.S but thank man for youtube. Or read the first chapter of C.L.R. James ‘The Black Jacobins’

  • Well, the Bigots of those times are rapidly passing away now, and it will not be too long before those they infected go the same way. Some Racism is still around regretably, but there's no going back now, the tipping moment has long since passed. My hat's off to those who went through that hell - you got my respect, and more. Every Country has its shameful times, thats one of America's. Makes me ashamed to be white frankly.

  • brought back so many memories....... man growing up in the fifties and sixties were scary.... now we must continue to keep our eyes on the prize and move forward or we will get pulled back into the murky waters from which we came. Thanks for being strong, everyone that was touched by hatred as seen in this video and the people which are not seen but suffered, deserves a THANK YOU! you made us stronger....

  • brought back so many memories.......

  • excellent video... much appreciated

  • "Racism is over as an argument. There is no gene for race. Racism is a primitive, stupid construct made out of literally nothing." - Christopher Hitchens

  • I think, in these times Americans were more nazis, than Hitler.

and still they are... hurts - or not, thats the truth...

here in europe we like black ppl-s.. their culture, their music, their girls...

but they dont like us white ones..

    and why?

especially because of u, Mr. AmeriKKKa.

  • Hebrews 12:2

Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

  • yes

  • yes

  • Incredible what a different world it was then. During the Nashville lunch counter sit-ins I was an 8 year old boy living in affluent Nashville suburbia. I had no idea any of this was going on. Nothing was covered on the news that I remember: My parents never mentioned any strife. It was like we were living on another planet. The only Black folks we saw were maids and gardners. My parents were not prejudice; I know that. We were just so insulated from it all.

  • Wow! What a deep bluesy voice! This comes from the deep heart's voice. The band and the dirty bass line paired with vintage-guitar-sound like Hendrix ... top! :)

  • Love It! Miss Mavis is speaking the TRUTH!

  • whitemen look very ignorant and cowardly here. White pointy hats, outnumbering lone afro-american activists and attacking them. Shame on you white men, shame on you america, no wonder your country is falling apart

  • @vilasini111 You cannot judge a nation or a race on the actions of the past, nor on the actions of a few extremest individuals. I fully sympathize with the civil rights movement. Yet you were not there, you have no right to judge.

  • i fukkin lov this tune

  • everyone stop arguing over a youtube video! appreciate this song for what it is and keep your opinions to yourself...

  • Severe Civil rights crimes are committed in Canada by authorities against citizens who try to use their constitutional civil right of not talking to them. This anti-democracy, authority attacks happen with lazer/tazer type guns which work through concrete walls of your home from outside or even the floor above. They rape women with these high power guns, also abuse their access to high ranking officials giving them one side of false story against citizen who questions their abuse of power.

  • one word gigidy

  • This is THE best documentary I've ever seen. Watch and learn.

  • this video is making me cry idk wat to do and my project due dis friday

  • Alot has changed since then and opportunities are great. Now it's up to them to rise up and make something. That goes for everybody.

  • Here is what i dont understand. And im wondering if any of you have posed this question to yourself. What has happened to the black people of America. I watch this video and i feel this hatred towards the southern white man for what they did. The scumbags behind the KKK and anyone who sought to lower the privelages of an entire race because of skin color. But what i dont understand is what the hell happened to those smart caring black people of the past. perhaps their plight died with MLK

  • @gunznstuff50 I've been wondering the same thing. We're too consumed in commercial garbage music and material things to care.

  • I live for the day when all people regardless of skin color will be conciliate...

Spirit has no color only Aura Force!!(Balance or nonbalance)

  • I cant stand these comments because homosexuals have gone through nothing compared to what Black people and minorities have faced in many countries. and black people were proven to be naturally born that way and theirs nothing wrong with being black. but Homosexuals have never been proven to be born gay and their is no proof that it isnt bad for example they have a higher chance of getting diseases and they decrease populations especially where its needed like Europe.

  • @recharg34 Why don't you shut the fuck up? DO NOT expect sympathy for your cause if you are not willing to extend it to the next group. All your protestations are lame. Practice what you preach.

  • Speechless.. i'm trembling at the shocking images shown - imagine what would have happened off camera and in secret to them...

Oh God, how humanity in their total depravity always fail to follow your two greatest laws: Love The Lord Your God and Love Your Neighbour As Yourself.

  • Why is it that we can't ALL come together with such an energy level and ferocity as this presented before us for something GOOD and USEFUL!?! I hate the human race and every bit of their small-minded ignorance!

  • One of my newest heroes: the woman who appears at :39-:41. The look on her face says it all. "Go ahead. Lock me up. I'll be back."

  • I am so ashamed to see white people kicking and beating a person of a different color in these videos. I really CANNOT believe the world used to be like this.

  • @nodollarsign Don't lose sight of the number of white people shown in the video as civil rights ACTIVISTS too. This wasn't a straight up black/white issue. If it had been, then the beneficial laws of the civil rights era of the 1960s would have never passed. This was a civil war of sorts between those determined to cling onto a shameful past, no matter the cost, and those who believed in the true promise of this country. A segregated state is a police state and it is absolutely un-American.

  • @FabulousTempest I have three names for you: CHANEY. SCHWERNER. GOODMAN.

  • @FabulousTempest exactly it aint about race its about CLASS..the thing our masters fear the most is when the working class is united regardless of color or race!!!!

  • wow all you guys are tards

  • @justthisguy83

    1) BET is owned by a white- majority company & watched mainly by 'white people'- you're welcome to keep it.

    2) just because there is low-level racial integration doesn't mean there is meaningful mass social or economic equality (for blacks or all americans in general) - there is not.

    3) the NAACP is multi-racial and advocates for social and racial equality for all.

    4) This video speaks volumes to people who really want to understand the past & present situation in our nation

  • Type PRIZE before youtube and hit enter

  • These videos make my heart wretch and my mind spin.

What courage, strength and integrity the people dealing with the hatred and ignorance of their fellow man had to posses in order to just live their lives in the day to day I cannot begin to fathom.

I thank them for their efforts and accomplishments while recognizing we have a long way to go to defeat bigotry in our country.

We are all in this shit together, hate is petty and wasteful in times like these.

  • @funkathrusta Amen

  • I'm Irish and it is a fucking disgrace that in a Free Society this shit goes on. We are all but one race under the stars.

  • Please take a moment of silence and pray for our fallen brother, Jared Lee Loughner. He is one of our greatest Christian soldiers God has ever put on this earth, next to Jesus. He did what had to be done to save our country and take back what is ours. People should follow in this great mans footsteps and sacrifice themselves for our lord and savior, Jesus Christ. Let us pray and hope that the court system will finally see the light, and find it in their God fearing hearts to let him free. Amen.

  • @fingerme100 You're totally wrong, and extremely ignorant. You have no idea about what you are talking...

  • murfyjones: Marriage is only a tradition for a very very very short time in the history of humankind. For millennia people did not "marry." Humans were hunter gatherers for thousands and thousands of years and they copulated with whomever most likely, before we became "property owners" and marriage made wives the property of their husbands. Dontcha know? Marriage was a business! A contract! Not some holy thing. Read an excellent new book "Sex at Dawn" for an education on this subject.

  • @dyannne funny, your comment very narrow minded but interesting

  • @dyannne It's true learned it in anthropology!!!

  • fuck religion

  • Get a live version of this track on the album "Hope at the Hideout" from Mavis's online store.

  • great post...the violence was sickening...never do I want to see those days again.

  • we are all from Africa

  • watch,freedom town!

  • MLK IS OVERRATED

  • A lot of Blacks left the ways of truth, reason and true progress and prosperity and decided to follow a dreamer. They wanted to be part of the dreamer's dream. Dreams are very powerful things in the world of the spiritual for those who have understanding. A lot of Blacks are leaving their true origins of spirituality for ignorance. The dreamer wanted integration, and so that what he got. He never dreamed that his people would be superior and so today many of them are ignorant Dreams are powerful

  • Watching stuff like this always gets my blood boiling.

I don't know how MLK Jr did it with the peaceful protests.... If I saw this everyday I would probably have been a Malcom X supporting, Black Panther joining, kill Whitey revolutionist...

  • Black man can run below 10s on 100m every day. White man didn't run below 10s in all his biological history, not one single time in last 1000s of years. So denying that races have other differences but colour is political correctness. But yea:

. "This video is not the beginning, but the cusp of their whole fantastic endeavor to be once and for all, considered "equal". "

  • Always keep your eyes on the prize!

  • Nice song, a like that... It's look like a time travel back into the fifties/sixties

  • this video opened up my eyes. My people have been through alot

Black Power! (not in a racist way)

  • @SweetlakeReality go back to africa were your from you have it so bad go back there

You got a black president hahah!! You really feel fuckedup dont ya? I feel so sorry for yo bitch ass.

  • Hahaha someone posts a video about the civil rights issues back in the 60's and suddenly everyone is some kind of fucking political expert or whatever. Classic. Anyways, it's a fucking song. So uhh... listen to the song and shut the fuck up about communism, fascim, black white what the fuck ever just listen to the song.

  • anyone know who is playing guitar on this track?

  • @neve1073 Ry Cooder.

  • @JandritoBlues

    thought so! thanks

  • how i wish i could do the same to all those racist sons of bitches i dont care if that doesnt make me better than them they deserved it

  • WOA...Powerful!

  • Look how Blacks were treated just 45 years ago, not the slavery times like people use to justify their ignorance of American history. This is resent history, not ancient, not 400 years ago but in my life time. Most of those people would be alive to today if not for their treatment back then. Palin doesn't get why Mrs Obama said "This is the first time in my adult life I'm proud of this country" when her husband was elected. The racism of 40+ years ago will take a few more generations to heal.

  • @iamlost2 *recent. Please forgive any typos, before anyone goes that low to insult me.

  • Inspiring! Hold on victims of Guantanamo, Middle East and those who reveal Truth & Justice, such as Julian Assange, Bradley Manning, Shaker Aamer, Maher Arar , Omar Deghayes, Mozzem Beggs, andyworthington.co.uk,

  • The kkk are a bunch or cowards...why else would they hide their faces!

  • those racists who pushed the man with the lovely suit on was probably like: " oh such a lovely day! got back from church and...." BAM!! mob apears hitting the poor poor man!

  • and people wonder why i won't pledge allegiance or wave the flag. how do you support a system that is inherently fucked from birth?

  • Just click "I like it" cos I`m against racism in any form...

  • These people were so brave and their oppressors were such cowards. When I see or read about the things that those crackers did to black people and got away with it, I wish I had a time machine and the walker out of District 9 to even up the odds a bit. But then again of course, violence never solved anything... well, maybe just this once...

  • i love this song i won 3 place on history fair on martin luther king

  • I don`t have words for these people... We are all the same, no matter what color or religion. I just can`t believe it how anybody can be so cruel for no reason!

  • Conservatism on action. This is who they are and what they do. Teabaggers are mere newcomers to Nazism.

  • Omg! /How can people be this ignorant?

  • people do crazy things.

  • republicans back then were the party of Lincoln and democrats were segregationists who ran south .........................then the parties started to change after FDR

  • Mavis is 71 this year....she has a new album out this month

  • So inspirational thanks Steven Colbert for presenting such a great artist to us

  • this is something thanks ♥

  • So many of these white fellas went to church on sunday, religion justified the slave trade, Never forget that. Gays and lesbians are getting beaten up and the churchs promote this discrimination....history repeats

  • @murfyjones amen

  • @murfyjones amen, no pun intended.

  • @murfyjones no they dont some of the people in the church does

  • @murfyjones how are you going to talk about region. islamic Malcolm X and Reverend Martin Luther King both spear headed the civil rights movement. the Puritans were anti slavery, so were many of the abolitionists. and the church doesnt have objections against gays. Clay Aiken is a christian. only the act of gays getting married which i think makes sense. marraige is a traditional thing. something americans raised in this culture do not understand.

  • @murfyjones

Man, shut the hell up. Martin Luther King was a god damned pastor. Go watch some of his speeches, he talks about god just as much as race.

Shit, ever heard of eugenics? That probably did more to encourage racism then religion ever did.

Blaming religion for human prejudice is stupid in so many ways. Religion doesn't justify shit, people do.

Religion is what you make it, just like every other ideology. Your attitude is what causes prejudice, not anything else.

  • @ogloosh shut up doouch!! stupid anal breathing altered slogan bangn red rootin bogan!

  • @ogloosh No, you are incorrect. Religion is not like "every other ideology", it expressly teaches (among other things) intolerance of race, sex, age, social status. Stop lying to yourself and realize has been the single biggest reason for committing harm in our world since its most unfortunate and mistaken inception.

The No true scotsman argument is a pathetic argument reserved for those incapable of defending their beliefs and those who share them.

  • Single biggest reason?

You don't know jack shit about history or politics, then.

Also, you are generalizing like an idiot when you say "religion" condones anything. Which one? Oh right, you don't know, do you?

stop sucking Dawkins cock and take a look at the world. It isn't black and white.

You know what the real cause of suffering is? People who refuse to try and understand other people and assume they are good and the rest are evil

    Like you.

You would burn priests at the stake if you could

  • @ogloosh Yes, if you would bother to have the smallest grasp on the history of conflicts this would be a self-evident truth. Which one? Well, should we take Christianity? Which one would you like to discuss? Instead of breathing a bunch of hot-air, come up with something other than calling me an idiot.

Let's see.. The Burka, Gays, hatred towards jews, etc, etc etc.

The inquisition, the crusades, the middle-east, hmm hmm, the dark ages, the persecution of christians by roman

    Prove me wrong.

  • Prove you wrong?

Go take a look at history. For every atrocity committed in the name of religion there's a thousand done in the name of money or political power. This is just fact. You name a couple famous examples, well how about the rest of history? You are simplifying history like an idiot, so I call you an idiot.

Also, a lot of Muslim woman choose to wear Burkas. Just pointing that out. So you can't really say it's an atrocity in and of itself, can you?

  • @ogloosh No, you fail to see the connection. Deeds are done in the name of religion, and also because of the religious values instilled in its follows, the dogma. This is simply undeniable. Let's see, what else, World War

Choose to wear a burkha? Do you have a study? If you're religion told you wear it from when you were born ,you would. Also, the punishment for not wearing it can be going to "hell"(Is that in Kansas?). Please, stick to the point, I never said it was an atrocity.

  • World war?

    Which one, moron?

First one? Political alliances and the assassination of Frances Ferdinand.

Second? Nationalism, imperialistic government, and before you say the holocaust; eugenics and racism.

Religion isn't the only source of dogma.

You don't know shit about religion, obviously. Case and point, wearing a burka isn't religiously mandated in Islam.

The word "burka" isn't even in the Quran.

  • @ogloosh Wow, I bow to your sledgehammer wit. If all you can do is hurl insults and belittle someone, you truly are a master debater.

    Isn't religiously mandated?? LOL!

We both know you don't debate, all you can do is insult me. You MUST be american. Which is of course the greatest irony here.

  • The quran says woman should dress "modestly". Why? Because apparently Mohammed thought every man everywhere was just looking for a chance to rape someone. That's it. It doesn't say showing hair=hell

If you don't want to research this shit, fine. But don't ignore somebody who has just because you can't stand being wrong.

The Burka is a cultural tradition that predates Islam, believe it or not.

I gave you valid points between the insults, you just ignored them. Because you're stupid

    :3

  • @ogloosh Actually i find it is what you believe that causes all hate in the world. One person thinks this, the other thinks that. So ideology is actually the root of it all. Our perception on what is real. And besides religion does create segregation and is a drain on the world. Fuck religion and everyhting its done.

  • @TheBDrinkin

What ISN'T a drain on the world? Capitalism, communism, fascism, EVERYTHING can be used for evil.

Religion isn't some unique case. Study history and you see this. Study politics and you see this. And above all study fucking religion from an unbiased source and not fucking Hitchens and Dawkins like an idiot.

Christ I hate your attitude! Blindingly dismissive but with no real point. Just fuck you.

Only people I hate are hypocrites. who think they have the world figured out

  • @ogloosh I haven't read the comment before this, and you are right Communism, fascism etc. can be used for evil. When one concentrates to power only to a handful of ppl, thus the laws and attitudes will be dictated by that handful of ppl. Religion is not the source of evil but it can be a good tool. By its very nature you as a person are insignificant in comparison to a higher power, and in some key moments one can justify actions through obedience and without thinking.

  • @ogloosh Human nature is to blame here but we have to see that religion also cradles these negative aspects. Of course religion can be the cause of good, but it has two edges as with it you can gather many ppl to support a leader's philosophy. Just hope that the leader is honest.

  • @ogloosh - No he doesn't need to "shut the hell up" because we are now free to speak out against the Church without being murdered as in its past. You have no right to oppress him or anyone anymore. It is you that is behaving like the people in this film.

If you think eugenics has done more to encourage racism and murder than religion you must be living on another planet.

"Religion is what you make it, just like every other ideology." Fascism is an ideology - is that what you make of it too?

  • @WillShakespeare2007

    You know what, fuck it.

You are an idiot. I am not oppressing shit, you're attitude just screams "I'm an arrogant fucktard". I'm telling you idiots bitching about religion to have some common sense and acknowledge that we are all people. You are demonizing billions by comparing them to fascists.

Fuck off you anti-intellectual twat. Do you even know what the fuck fascism is? I doubt it.

  • @ogloosh - Swearing and threats - you are the perfect example of your "religion".

A bible quote supporting enslaving children...

"You may purchase male or female slaves from among the foreigners who live among you. You may also purchase the children of such resident foreigners, including those who have been born in your land. You may treat them as your property, passing them on to your children as a permanent inheritance." (Leviticus 25:44-46)

What lovely set of beliefs you have.

  • @ogloosh wow you shouldn't tell someone to shut up, you know.

    THAT's a wrong attitude.

  • @ogloosh Christianity and Islam are inherently bigoted. Killing of all non-believers is advocated on several occasions in the holy texts of both.

  • @KingCrimson776 I know your post is old, but I have to correct you. Christianity, when done correctly, does not advocate killing all non-believers. It is commanded of us to live in peace with all men, to love all men. This is why Christians are non-violent. If any Christian kills anyone, he is doing it against the Bible. What happened in the past happened because of racism and greed, such as slavery. No real Christian would kill anyone.

  • @bjisom1955 So in order to "do Christianity correctly", one has to ignore numerous passages in the Bible

  • @KingCrimson776 It's not ignoring; it's following Jesus' example. People like to view Christianity as a violent religion when our behavior does not reflect that at all. People also view certain passages in the Bible, like ones that may sound violent, and then ignore others which clearly tell Christians that we are to love others and be peaceable. One example is Galatians 6:10 which says to follow peace with all men. Nobody wants to quote that scripture. because it makes Christianity look good.

  • @bjisom1955 That just means the Bible contradicts itself, do you really believe the holy book of God could be so flawed? Jesus has his followers kill a town of non-believers too, so he's not exempt. He also says to not disregard the law of the old prophets (Old Testament), thus justifying the violence therein. Since you are good people, and your actions don't reflect such a mixed up doctrine, why call yourselves Christians?

  • @KingCrimson776 It's not contradictory; you just have to have an understanding of it. Jesus actually rebuked his disciples who wanted to kill an entire village because they wouldn't listen to Him in Luke 9:51-56. His response was that He wanted to save them, not to destroy them. Jesus was non-violent, and even forgave the people who were crucifying Him. Paul writes in 2 Corinthians 3 of the superiority of the new covenant, and again in Galatians 4:21-31, and also Hebrews 8:6-13.

  • @KingCrimson776 Paul repeatedly states throughout the New Testament that the Old Covenant is old, and therefore, no longer stands. There is a new covenant which we are under now, and this is what we abide by. People, when they want to attack Christianity, do not understand this. The violence is not justified; in fact, He makes it clear that we can't retailate, and we can't hate our enemies, which was fine during the Old Testament days.

  • @KingCrimson776 The doctrine is not mixed up; we are following what He says. We don't retaliate, we don't hate people who hate us, we pray for those who we know hate us, we love everyone like He commanded. He said the two greatest commandments are to love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and to love our neighbors as ourselves. We clothe those who need it, we visit prisons. In Romans 13:8, it says that he that loves another has fulfilled the law. This is what we do.

  • @bjisom1955 It's not possible to follow what "He" says, because "He" contradicts himself. You can't kill non-believers, stone insolent children to death, and worship a God who drowned the entire world (which he created and knew would turn out so horribly), and at the same time claim to love everyone.

  • @KingCrimson776 It is not contradictory. The reason the flood happened was because the people were evil. But they had the chance to be saved because Noah told them the flood was going to happen, similar to how we tell the people the world is going to end. They chose not to listen, so they perished. You keep speaking of a covenant that no longer is in effect. All of that happened with Israel. Christianity was not a religion at the time.

  • @bjisom1955 So you take the word of the Bible literally then. How could the people have known that Noah was right? He could have just been a madman. Besides, God created humans and is all-knowing, he knew they would turn out "wicked", so why create them that way? Either God is a sick bastard or there is no God, the latter possibility is far more comforting.

  • @KingCrimson776 They knew he was right when the flood happened. They were warned way in advance of the coming flood, and could have been saved from it, but chose not to listen because they were too busy having fun to pay attention to Noah. You're forgetting the fact that we do have free will. God didn't create humans wicked, humans act wickedly. Sin didn't enter into the world until Adam and Eve chose to disobey God. In the beginning, and even now, humans were not and are not created wicked.

  • @bjisom1955 If they were not wicked, Adam and Eve would not have eaten the apple. The New Testament has plenty of messed up shit too, btw. It is not quite as bad as Islam but still completely reprehensible.

  • @KingCrimson776 Adam and Eve ate the apple because of Satan, not that they were wicked. If you want to believe that Christianity is a bad religion, that's up to you. You seem intent on hating religion, and that's fine. Just know that the New Testament stresses love for others, which is what we show on a daily basis. If you can't see that, then that's up to you.

  • @bjisom1955 Why would Satan have been able to tempt them, and why would Satan exist in the first place if that were against all-powerful God's will? I can see that you show love for others, but I don't see why you need some ancient mythology to justify it.

  • @KingCrimson776 It was not against God's will for Satan to exist. Satan was an angel created by God. His name was Lucifer when he was in heaven. He rebelled against God, and was cast out. His name became Satan, and ever since, he's been trying to corrupt God's creation, which would be us humans. Satan was able to tempt Eve because he tricked her. He told her she would be like God, and she fell for it. What we believe is not an ancient mythology.

  • @bjisom1955 If he rebelled against God then that is against God's will, inherently impossible. No matter how you describe it, it will come back to that. And telling her she could be like God, and her giving in to that, means she was flawed to begin with.

A one world government wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing, so long as it is based neither on worship of God nor Satan.

  • @KingCrimson776 It was not against God's will. It will not always come back to that. That's just how you see it. Satan rebelling against God caused him to trick man into sinning, which ultimately brought about God's will to sacrifice Jesus on the cross. Nothing that happens does so outside of God's will. Yeah, man fell, but at the same time, there is a savior to erase what was done in the garden of Eden, so God's will was done. Eve was not flawed. You keep forgetting about free will.

  • @bjisom1955 God created Eve and knew that her free will would lead to great suffering. Why not create her in such a way where her free will leads to a better outcome? That isn't any less "free will" on her part, because God is able to predict the outcome either way. That seems a whole lot less messy than having to bring a guy down to Earth to die on a cross etc.

  • @KingCrimson776 We may not agree with how it happened, but the fact is, that is the way God orchestrated it. And now, there is no more suffering, because we do have Jesus. That's the beauty of it. Man no longer has to be under the bondage of sin. Eve may have chosen the wrong path, but in the end, Jesus became the remedy to Eve's choice. Besides, it was prophesied in Genesis 3 that Jesus would die on the cross, so this is the way God planned it.

  • @bjisom1955 Well, God could have orchestrated it a hell of a lot better. I think if you really thought it through, you'd see that.

  • @KingCrimson776 Eve chose of her own accord to rebel against God, like people do on a daily basis. But like I said, that's okay, because God's will was done on the cross. And the only reason you think a one world government would be okay is because you don't have the full understanding of what will happen at that time. It will be ruled by the antichrist, whose power will be of Satan. Nobody will be allowed to buy or sell unless they have his mark. Whoever refuses to worship him will die.

  • @bjisom1955 And how do you know this is the only possible one world government? Because the Bible says so?

  • @KingCrimson776 Yes, because the Bible says so. Christians are not the only ones who know what the scriptures say; others know, too. There are Satanists within the government systems worldwide who are working to bring about the one world government. The Bible speaks of the mark of the beast. Some say it's the RFID chip. 666 is the number of the antichrist, and that number is very prevalent. It's the same antichrist system that the Bible speaks about.

  • @KingCrimson776 The Bible also speaks of the third temple on Israel being built, in which the antichrist will sit in and proclaim himself as God. I've seen videos on YouTube that shows that the Jews are preparing to rebuild the temple. So, yeah, what's in the Bible is actually coming to pass. Presidents from Bush to Obama spoke of the new world order, which is the one world government system in the Bible, and they're calling for it to happen.

  • @bjisom1955 ... "videos on YT" are your proof that this is happening...? And why couldn't there be a one world gov't based on the teachings of Jesus? What's so holy about these egotistical borders on the map?

  • @KingCrimson776 God orchestrated it the way He wanted to. You don't have to agree with it. Besides, the videos on YouTube track prophecies in the Bible relating to the antichrist and the one world system, and how it's coming to pass. They're not just videos; they prove that what is written in scripture is happening exactly how it was prophesied. The History Channel even ackowledged the existence of the antichrist, and how the world will be during his reign. It's not just people on YouTube.

  • @bjisom1955 All I'm saying is he allowed unnecessary suffering to occur, have you never found yourself thinking that can't possibly be a perfect God's design?

It wouldn't surprise me if there were some fundies in charge of the History Channel. I would like to see one of these videos you are talking about though, if you could link one (mainly the ones that attempt to prove the Bible predicting the one world system).

  • @KingCrimson776 He is perfect, and that is His perfect design, but you don't have to agree. As far as the YouTube videos, there is a channel called ppsimmons that deal with prophecy relating to the last days, as well as the antichrist system. They also deal with atheism. You may want to check those videos out.

  • @bjisom1955 and this ppsimmons person is one of the craziest people I've ever seen on here... he sits around making propaganda like reversing Obama's speech to try and make him sound like he's saying "Serve Satan". Of course, no one is allowed to comment or rate.

  • @KingCrimson776 Did you see the other videos?

  • @KingCrimson776 People argue about the Bible being twisted all the time, but it can't be denied that it's prophecies have and are coming to pass. There are no fictional parts of the Bible. What you call fiction is coming to pass. The Bible says that at the time of the end, there will be wars and rumors of wars. I heard recently that people are pushing for Israel to attack Iran. Bible prophecy states that Israel will play a huge part in the last days. This is definitely not fiction.

  • @bjisom1955 We'll see if this comes to pass, just as we'll see if the Mayans were right about 2012. There have always been wars. To claim that countries like Egypt and Libya (which have had a long history of corrupt leaders) will eventually fall is a highly logical educated guess to make. Just because this is happening doesn't mean that Israel will rise again in their place. It's a convenient connection for Bible thumpers to make, as the world goes through turbulent changes. ... continued

  • ... Capitalism has nearly reached it’s end, and once it does, there might be chaos for a while. Christians would end up referring to this as the “reign of the anti-Christ” (we’ll see if and to what degree Israel comes into play in all of this). But hopefully (and depending on our technological advancement) the monetary system can transfer relatively peacefully into a Resource Based Economy. When do you suppose the Rapture will occur, and if what I’ve said happens instead, what will you believe?

  • @KingCrimson776 They want people to have a chip in their hand, and all of the person's info as well as money will be on it. They won't need to use money; all they'll have to do is scan it. But if they take the mark, there is no hope for them. As far as the Rapture, Jesus gave us signs to look for when He returns. Wars, famines, pestilences, natural disasters that will be occuring frequently are all signs. Then there will be the tribulation period, which is the 7 year reign of the antichrist.
