  • Love this show, my school is doing it this year. Your color guard is much better haha. Love the visuals with the symbols in My Life, and also the rewritten drum parts are pretty great, good show :)

  • wow is your color guard better than ours haha, my band is doing this show this year, we have a different drill. Like the different drum parts!

  • We are doing almost the same thing, well different moves. We are playing:We didnt start the fire/piano man, air, and my life/only the good die young so far.Plus we are half your size and we have the same sound as yall except a bit more loose. We have 1 tympany, or whatever it is lol,and like 2 bass drums and 1 snare 1 quad player and like 16-21,or something like that, wind players (Including me trumpet)Everyone in your band is good i have to say but the notes at 3:03 to 3:08 is a bit strict ya know.

  • our band is doing the exact same pieces for piano man and my life!

  • Haha my band's doing billy joel this year as our theme.

  • Ooh I like the sound the trumpet section is putting out. My high school is doing this for this year's show. This is pretty good. Impressive sized pit, our's is so tiny that our drum major had to jump in and play last year.

  • "WM WAMSB Potsdam 2010: Chien Kuo HS Marching Band Taipei Taiwan" is good.

  • where was this competition at?

  • @darafaith1 Its actually just our preview night show

  • it would be nice to see the colorguard doin more than basics out on the field. there are too many moves used repeatedly throught the routines. free arms and body angles are off as well as tossHIT catchHIT. great sound from the band at times!

  • WOW! One of my local high school's also played this very same (or close to) version of what you are. I <3 We Didn't Start the Fire- way to rock it, Band!! :-)

  • great job, chech out my school,we arent that big but we have a great sound, btw loved the added percussion stuff=] im the lead trumpet player edwin.great job

  • takes some coordination. good job bro

  • our marching band is doing the same show. were doing we didnt start the fire/piano man, my life/only the good die young, and just the way you are. nice percussion. we only have 1 snare 1 quad and 4 bases, and a cymbol/ cheerleader lol.

  • the pit bass drum needs to be louder i could not hear it

sorry about the typo on my last comment

  • ya im in the pit at my high school to and we are playing this show and he looks very awkward the way hes playing it

  • at 0:35 it shoroll insted of just on quick hituld be a suspended cymbol

  • This is my band's show this year also, have you re-written the percussion part at the beginning? Our's has the low brass playing. Are your next 2 song Air and Just the way you are? And the speed at the end of the 2nd song is good in my opinion. It is meant to speed up.

  • ya we rewrote a lot of the percussion parts... and our next two songs are air and just the way you are

  • Awesome, we so have the same show. =] I really like it.

  • @clarinetgirlgrace do you go to centennial high school?

  • percussion!

    work!

  • There are extra drum parts which sound cool. Awesome job, and great sound. A little fast though.

  • I agree with Maxinator234. Generally speaking not bad for early season. I have a slight issue with the (rescored?) percussion parts. It seems way too busy and covers up alot of potentially nice musical moments that could also give you some textural differences. Also speed is a major issue towards the end of the second chart (ML/OTGDY). Winds could also not afford to peck at the notes as much. But overall not a bad performance at all. Good luck this season

  • Good show for this early in the season. Make sure the end of My Life/Only The Good Die Young doesn't rush that much. IIRC, the tempo is 152, so don't go that crazy with it. Also, at the park & blow, either everyone needs to be dancing or standing still. Judge's will kill a band for that. Other than that, I liked it. People obviously still need to memorize music and play right notes. You might want to consider telling your director to work on marching fundamentals a little bit more. Great job.

  • We are doing the excat same set, our beinging drum set is a little differnt. But this was very cool none the less.

    Which one are you?

  • I'm the 4th bass drum
