Spain - Tomatina 2011 partygoers throw tomatoes from truck

What a waste of food & agricultural land/resources for a few minutes of "Fun"/year! Those 120 Tons of Tomatoes could feed 120000 starving Africans (Somalians, Ethiopians, Haitians...) for like 3 days!

@hapi3rd I think they mostly use tomatoes that are not fit for eating

@xCelsius451x Then it is good; although it's a dirty activity to throw wet organic acidic fruits at each other. I didn't know that Spain, a developed country, grows so many 'dirty' tomatoes every year then.
