You do realize that is a potentially lethal trap you've set up there? I know a small dog, a Shi Tsu, who actually drowned that way. The owner was chatting with someone inside, the dog was in the garden. After a while, the owner began looking for her beloved dog (she had just spent a lot of money for vaccination for an England holiday). She got the corpse out of the water and she and her friend brought it to the vet immediately, crying hard. But the dog couldn't be revived.... It was too late....

I hate to say anything negative, but I hope you don't let your cat near the pool cover unsupervised. A pet can drown if they get stuck on top of/under the pool cover. I've had it happen. Please be careful. He's a beautiful cat, by the way. ^_^
