the only thing i find flawed about bleach is that ichigos father turned out to be a captain rank Shinigami.. then how the hell was his mother killed by a Menos? You would think heed save her. Or try and protect his family when the where under attack. .. You should pre planed the story if your gona make the father character a shinigami. It just comes out of the blue. but still every good show has its flaws..

But there is no excuse for a shinigami of a captins rank not being able to take down a menos grande. He has a shikai and a bankai at that level. Even a regular leiutenant can take one down with ease. He couldve killed that menos without shikai

I think he was trying to have a spanish theme for hollow related characters, and that might explain it since Chad's powers are similar to hollow powers, though its just a guess.
