i am sorry but i dont just blindly trust my govt. I know they lie all the time, I don't want to kill anyone and I have a hard enough time supporting myself where I am. I don't deny that the military is good for self defense and to help those in need but there are too many times that the government has lied to us about reasons of going to war. There were no wmd's there were not even 4,000 people killed on 911 but there are more than 100,000 dead in iraq alone now.
I spoke to a man who had just come back from iraq he was at the hospital waiting for his kid to get better, He was always staring at the ground and when he spoke about his 3 year old in the ward he related it to having to shoot 5 year old iraqi kids who were sent over to his base with AK's I wished I could take that pain away. Joining the army is a real life choice and that is a job that the individual chooses they are not made to go. I joined then changed my mind at the second recruitment.
We sort of take showers. By just pouring water on ourselves then sudz up then pour more water then dry off lol. Plus we sleep 2-4 hours max each day. If we are lucky maybe 5.

I've been in the coast guard for 5 years, and now am going to the army. I am proud to fight for my country, But i only will take a bullet for those who support us. Every time I work in the dining room at the restaurant I work at, I hear the same things about soldiers. That they're heartless killers, that people like them have no right coming back home alive, that if it weren't for soldiers, the world would be a better place. Silently, I hope those people don't tip me when they leave. I can't accept money from such people. I hate my job, but thanks to the U.S. Military, I can CHOOSE to quit my job and find a better one.

I've been accepted into the Australian army recently and enlist in June. I would be honoured fight beside our American comrades. They are our greatest ally, they saved our ass in WW2 from the Japanese. After I watched 'The Pacific' I gained the ultimate respect for American Millitary and there sacrifice for Australia, which is why we did not hesitate ti help them in Vietnam and every war since.

It'll make you more rounded leader! this was personal advice from my company commander!

I've been in the coast guard for 5 years, and now am going to the army. I am proud to fight for my country, But i only will take a bullet for those who support us. If it weren't for us fighting for our country those who protest us and spit in our faces, they would not be allowed to do that cause we would've been invaded and our rights taken. Every time I work in the dining room at the restaurant I work at, I hear the same things about soldiers. That they're heartless killers, that people like them have no right coming back home alive, that if it weren't for soldiers, the world would be a better place. Silently, I hope those people don't tip me when they leave. I can't accept money from such people. I hate my job, but thanks to the U.S. Military, I can CHOOSE to quit my job and find a better one.

I respect the people in the military. But this video makes its seem like they have always wanted to do this. Most people join the military cause of needs,money and education! They do what they are told to do because that's there job of needs. Just like when my boss tells me to do something I do it. But just because they are in the military, does not mean they are good people. There are always bad apples. Plus not all military is infantry. Video is too patriotic and just throwing in the glamour.

I've been accepted into the Australian army recently and enlist in June. I would be honoured fight beside our American comrades. They are our greatest ally, they saved our ass in WW2 from the Japanese. After I watched 'The Pacific' I gained the ultimate respect for American Millitary and there sacrifice for Australia, which is why we did not hesitate ti help them in Vietnam and every war since.

It'll make you more rounded leader! this was personal advice from my company commander!

@Jpetey684 Actually, the reason I can speak freely is because of the general population of my country that rally to protect it when it is genuinely under threat. The people in this video occupy foreign lands that present no threat to the United States, and kill innocent civillians without remorse. I have nothing to thank these people for, and hope that they meet an IED sooner rather than later... Nothing more, nothing less.

I graduated College and got a meaningful job too! (when i say meaningful i mean that I sit at a desk crunching numbers and contimplate suicide because my big fat wife is gonna yell at me about the missed mortgage payment). I spend the rest of my life paying off the crushing debt of my student loans. You graduated high school because the military requires a high school diploma and get a GI bill that pays for college...HA!

@andyrew778 Wow, crushing debt from education? Only in the United States I guess. Is that all it takes for you to calmly kill innocent civillians in their homeland, avoidance of paying off debt? I hope you ship out soon, there's an IED with your name on it.
