  • I'm the only one that sense the sketches of spain in here? both works are awesome thought

  • I FOLLOW

  • Find this, Chinmaya Dunster - Moonson

  • Concierto de Aranjuez... sublima...

  • This song is actually the Concierto de Aranjuez

  • If any1 lykk funny ghost den see maa videooo itzzz reaalllyy funny.....!!!:D

  • a song of dreams and imagination. Wonderful.

  • Correct phrasing would be that Kawai-san composed the reprise. Credit for the actual song still should go to J. Rodrigo, H. Kretzmer, and H. Shaper, hence the credits..

Kawai-san is a master. Comparing the original and this piece is like night and day. And Itou Kimiko's voice is just... wow.

  • the original song is concierto de aranjuez

  • just finished watching and heard this song, its touching, i want to see ghost in the shell 3 :3

  • I bet few of you know the original song is from Fairuz name Li Beirut

    watch?v=7HlxqursgjU

  • i like this.... she is very beautiful...

  • BEAUTIFUL

  • you can almost hear Motoko calling to Bateau. 'Follow me the internet is vast and infinite.'

  • you can almost hear Motoko calling to Bateau. 'Follow me the internet is vast an infinite.'

  • The original song is from Demis Roussous.

  • @allblacks1990 very true...

  • @allblacks1990 very true...but who would expect that when even the Greeks don't know how their culture is appreciated outside their borders...if they only knew, then maybe would be better people....

  • 3:55 and on is beautiful.

  • これだ、これだ よく聞いた。

  • HEEEYY!!!

That song is just "Concierto de Aranjuez by Joaquín Rodrigo II-Adagio" for guitar

    check out for you're self

    ;)

  • @KISIMOV Yep. One of the most famous concerts including guitar music - pretty easy to recognize if your into that kind of music. :)

  • This song is based on a gutar concert.

    Check C_VEMjP_VHM

  • please remember,love pray...cry

  • this song is really beautiful, very sad

  • @mapf78: Why "bastard"? Just because it's another version of the song doesn't make it a bad song...

I love the Concierto of Aranjuez as well, but this song is beautiful as well

  • that was written in 1939 dumbshit.. it's past expiry date and free for adaptations without having to pay dues to the original creator already.. that's like blaming a modern song for incorportating classical music.. fuckin idiot..

  • @mapf78

    Shush

  • I love this song and GIS is an EXCELLENT movie. Imma go watch it right nao. ^_^

  • Esta cancion... es sin animo ni intencion de atenuar su particular belleza y armoniosa melodia... sencillamente exquisita...

  • Both Demis Roussos's original and this one are excellent!

  • I'm a real big fan of Ghost in the Shell and Rodrigo's "Concierto de Aranjuez," and when I heard the first couple of notes I was like: "wait a minute..." and then when I realized what was actually going on, well... I ruined a perfectly good pair of briefs. What a great song and what an excellent movie!

  • this is Kimiko Itoh

  • This song is like a drug for me. Thanks for putting this up.

  • very haunting song

  • Kenji Kawai didnt take credit for this song btw... in the credits of the most amazing movie ever made (im not joking) it was stated that the music was done by J. Rodrigo and lyrics were done by H. Kretzmer and H. Shaper.

Also think that the movie couldn't have ended better than with this great song. I usually hate this type of music but i found this song haunting after watching Innocence... amazing

  • @Templars1005 How could you hate this type of music under any circumstance? It's so lovely!

  • Comment removed

  • @Templars1005

Kenji Kawaii did compose this version of the song, and the reason why I am saying 'version' is because he did not compose the original 'follow me', neither did he write it (the lyrics) nor the percussion or the rhythm, harmony etc. He simply made composed this slightly altered version of the song, the person(s) behind the original are F. Rodrigo and Demis Roussos.

Check your sources before you convey any unnecessary statements, genius.

I love this movie, certainly a piece of art

  • @Templars1005 Have you heard the original one by the portuguese fado singer Amália? Just discovered it now:

search for Amália, Aranjuez Mon Amour

  • this may be a dumb question, but the links in the description, are any of them MP3 downloads? its just i love this song and i really want to put it on my iPOD (when i get 1 lol) so i can hear this while standing in the sea

  • Beautiful. So sad and moving. Worth watching the movie to hear this song.

  • @QuatermassMan ...And also because it's a good movie.

  • @QuatermassMan EXACTLY!

  • @gsimon123 Good movie. It really REALLY lacks story though. The plot is so razor thin. I just watch it for the visuals and music.

  • @QuatermassMan yeah i liked it also. it had great visuals and some good ideas but the plot is pretty obscure. it would be tricky coming up with a logline for it! but this was a great versino of the concerto de aranjuez!

  • @QuatermassMan

I think the director explains this in the interview with him that's on my blu-ray. He feels that the story is secondary in creating an impression on people.

  • this place she sings about is "where" enlighted people live. there is no reason to worry.

  • Hope Adult Swim aires it.

  • Simply breathtaking, what an incredible voice...

  • "Music by Joaquin Rodrigo (arranged by Kenji Kawai)"

Would even be more correct.... but could someone tell me who wrote this beautifull text over Joaquin´s melody?

  • "Music by Kenji Kawai (and Joaquin Rodrigo)". now that's the right way to put it.

  • Every note of this song strike into my heart deeply

  • the melody is exactly the same as that of a song called mon amour by Aranjuez, look it up :)

  • ur right`` I think the instrument version is more beautiful when comparing to this but both of them are deadly loved by me.

  • i point out something that might be of interest to some people and i get 3 thumbs down.

note that i didn't say anything about stealing or anything, just pointing something out

  • actually the original song is "sentimento", sung by andrea bocelli

  • Actually, this is the Adagio from the "Concierto de Aranjuez" suite by Spanish composer Joaquin Rodrigo.

Shame on Kenji Kawai for taking credit for what amounts to a simple rearranging of other people's work by adding silly lyrics.

  • thank you for the information, it is very useful :)

  • Man... every time I hear this song, it sends a chill down my spine. Amazin.

  • This is also the kind of song you can slow dance to.

  • maybe it's just me but i kinda think of this as a song for bateau and motoko...

  • oh i completely agree. Those two should hook up,if they make another movie or a third season of Stand Alone complex.

  • metaphoricly they already have.

in GITS 1 Motoko wakes up after clenching and unclenching her hand.

In GITS 2 Batou clenching his hand and unclenching it while sleeping.

I think the director is sending us a message that Batou and the Major are already connected at a deeper and more profound level then we imagine.

  • What about Hideo Kuze then? in GITS SAC 2nd Gig they clearly showed Motoko having the hots for this guy...

  • @asuraizen

Didn't watch that bit yet... but I thought that Kuze was just a childhood friend... kinda... and that it touched Motoko to meet him again. Well, like I said, I didn't watched that bit yet. But anyway... there were moments between Motoko and Batou in the series AND... the movies are set in an almost different universe, shall we say... and Kuze apparently doesn't exist in the movies.

    Anyway, great song... so touching.

  • me encanta es un cover wapisimo del concierto de aranjuez, la adaptacion es wapisima.

  • this whole song is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 2:19 to 2:50... amazing!

  • すげぇ!!

    音質が響き渡ってる(゚д゚;)

  • BEST

  • Hah! Joaquin Rodrigo FTW!

  • "Follow me to a distant land this mountain high, where all the music that we always kept inside will fill the sky, singing in the silence swerve, a heart is free. While the world goes on turning and turning, turning and falling. Follow me." Great song.

  • ah no!.. kimiko itoh... i wonder if there are more such fantastic songs by her......

  • mh... whats the singer´s name? mai yamane, isn´t it?

  • Her name is Kimiko Ito.

  • Spectacular music based on a called the "Concierto de Aranjuez", a composition for classical guitar and orchestra by the famous Spanish composer Joaquín Rodrigo, written in 1939, and is probably Rodrigo's best-known work.

    Cheers

  • Great anime - great music!

  • zu gut :,)

  • i prefer this version much more to the other one i've decided.
