You're making me consider actually picking up my Violin again. I played it for about 6 years in elementary school (school concerts, children's orchestras, etc...) but I haven't really used it since. @MPX4132 good luck. violin is really hard to learn if you don't know what your notes sound like already. just playing clarinet isn't going to help you there because clarinet is not a true pitch instrument, it's a Bb. if you really want to, take lessons, don't try to learn on your own and rent one before buying

@dwaynedibbly It's all preference, many professional / advanced players put a folded cloth between the violin and their shoulder. I'm not 100% sure.. but the more stuff you add to your violin, the more it inhibits the sound. For example, most professional / advanced student violinists remove all the fine tuners save for the one on the E string, which i take is necessary. The elimination of 3 fine tuners can have a dramatic effect on the overall tone and sound production of a violin. :)

Being a violinist myself I must say I'm impressed on what you have done here. Scrolling along the "related videos" list and finding this I found it rather hard to believe that someone other than the actual recorded orchestra was able to do this, but alas, I was proven wrong. Although, that does not mean it was perfect. This would definitely do great if you were to practice it a little bit more at a slower tempo.
