I, like many others, don't give a f=ck about the beliefs of $cientologists- it is the reprehensible BEHAVIOUR of the cult such as attacking critics both verbally and physically, at it's most basic- it's a highly sophisticated fraud using many mind control techniques, blackmail, etc.

Please read the French court ruling. It had nothing to do with Scientology beliefs or creeds. This was about the use of devices ("E-Meters") to induce unwary inductees into believing that they were undergoing clinical tests that determined that they were in heretofore un-diagnosed condition that ONLY costly further sessions with Scientology "auditors" could effectively treat.

This is no different than a Fortune-telling Grifters trick.

There are two separate issues. One is Scientology's metaphysics, the other is Scientology's abuses. I agree that Scientology's metaphysics is no more valid than any other religion's. On the other hand, what the organization does to its members is outrageous. The protests are mainly about the abuses, not so much the beliefs.
