THANK YOU! I'm going to start heart rate training & I don't need mapping so I bought a Polar. Too many things didn't go right with it so I returned it. Does the Garmin allow for designing runs based on heart rate & not just speed or distance? Always here Polar is better for heart rate.

@cicirunner I'm thinking it was about $350 with the heart monitor strap included. You can buy it without that though. It is a bit heavy. I don't know the exact weight, but I don't have a problem with it. My wife says she notices the weight as she runs. The newest Garmin model the 610 is lighter.
It takes some getting used to, but I like it now. There is a feature where you can lock the bezel so when you are running, you don't accidentally switch modes.
Does this thing give you "instant pace"? If not, what pace info does it give you?

@tommer725 Yeah after you run it shows a map of the places you traveled on Garmin Connect, or you can upload it to Running Ahead.

Nice review. I have an old 305 and thinking of upgrading to this. Not sure about the bezel touch feature.
