I played a tetris clone on an iPod Touch that was much much better than this. It had no special modes or anything and it featured a similar method of dragging blocks around like this, except it was much more fluid. There was no grid in the background by which the blocks would move (they only aligned with the grid when they had to, when they reached bottom) and you could drag a block in any direction, like down and left at the same time.

I'm trying to find this game, but I'm having no luck at all

I was never into Tetris as a kid either. When I played it on my GameBoy I was pretty good at it and now I love it :D Practice makes perfect

controls are junk tho. even facebook has a better FREE tetris. but by far the DS has the best tetris ive played. Tetris is like one of the only games im good at.. but this tetris version isnt worht $5 on the iphone

Im pretty sure if you go to options..there is a way to turn off that tutorial function...so it doesn't ask you 100 times before gameplay

I really think that your review was one the best in the last 10 months. I t was not crap and too amateur.

Nice review -- I got hooked on Tetris way back when it was introduced. This would be a great way to fill time in waiting rooms, etc. Beats reading three-month-old SI copies.
