Are your walls sound proof? When you play can your neighbours here the sound of the drums?

I am asking because i want to get some drums and my walls in my apartment are thin and the sound travels through so neighbours will hear it.

My drumset is actually in our garage and the walls are not sound proof. My neighbors can hear me play if my garage door is open or if they are outside. They are all pretty cool about it, plus our houses aren't too close together. I'm sure there is some type of heavy padding you could put on your walls for the sound. Good luck with it and keep drumming!
