These guys sure know how to have fun. And anyone of the "animal abuse" people should realize horses are built for "all terrain" and it's pretty clear these guys know to stay out of their horses way as they pick through elements. I'm pretty jealous of these trails!
@gcoxalaska Great Comment yes we drink beer but as for drunk driving it is not ever done and that because we own the property we ride on and live there. Anyone caught drunk driving with there horse in a horse trailer should be shot.
@Baylesofhay13 The Black Standard bred horse I ride is 29 years old and I have been doing the same riding for 15 years now and my horse in in better shape than horse that are 15 years old, so I guess i am proud of my horse
Hi it was placed on a pole that had a Gyro that runs off 12 volts to keep it as steady as possible (still shook working on that) look at my other video called camera stabilizer to see the difference.
Really... You have to be fucking kidding me, that’s extreme for you? You should be ashamed; there are 6 years old kids on my town that do that kind of riding just to get home. In Sonora Mexico we ride on worst conditions, at all speed, roping our cattle. We do that daily for surviving.
@Ignaciovy OK i got it what we do is not extreme, the camera really does not show the steepness of some of the downhills, LOOK AT MY VIDEO Godzillas Tongue if you ride you horse down that I will give you $100.00 cash!!!
@ahiiesalu Challenge accepted , I will make a video on my ranch , so you will be able to see a new and interesting place , here on Mexico... go ahead ask me what you need me to do so you can lose $100.00 cash ? Just go down an extreme hill like Godzilla’s Tongue?
@Ignaciovy Ok we are in Pinion Hills Ca 92372 address to meet is 10574 Mountain Road our phone is 760-868-9128 you can ride up with us to the Canyon about 2 miles and check out Godzilla down hill my brother will go first if you follow from the top to the bottom then the $100.00 is yours. Note Brian has only done it two times.
@Ignaciovy Really... You have to be fucking kidding me, that’s extreme for you? You should be ashamed
WE OFFERED YOU $100.00 CASH TO RIDE DOWN GODZILLAS TONGUE YOU SAY WHAT WE DO IS NOT EXTREME HOWEVER YOU ARE A NO SHOW MAKE YOU LOOK BAD. Reguards Alan Hiiesalu
Sir, it is obvious you love to do what you do, and I too enjoy extreme environment riding, and teaching others the fundamentals of safe practices. I made the comment to you guys as a gesture of help because I care about horses and their riders, and keeping them safe. If you view "Molly down a cliff" you will see what my methodology creates. I was not trying to be a smart ass. In very difficult terrain, a horses natural self preservation instinct will keep you safe, but adding pain won't help.
May I suggest you get out of their mouths, get rid of the curb bits, and learn to ride in a halter. A horses primary balance aid is their head, and when you are in difficult terrain it is much safer to allow them the freedom to put their head where it needs to be, not where you want it. One day it could mean the difference between you riding into old age or riding a wheel chair.
@thrivefeedvideos Yes I agree a halter is no problem with my horse how ever we have to ride some roads to get to were we do the riding and my horse is high strung and likes to run so she will ignore the halter, anyway you are correct on this THANKS FOR THE COMMENT!!!!!!
@thrivefeedvideos Horses don't always do what you want or expect, in the places we ride one wrong turn will kill you. I give my horse its head as much as I can allow. Until you are on the precipice of imminent danger it's easy to say let your horse's head lead.
@EmmysHorses Hi thanks your comment and I would like to say the following, My horse Mush the Black Standard Bred is 28 Years old and in prefect health and dead sound. I ride her every weekend doing about the same thing you see in our video. Anyway I would not hurt my horse or put her in a situation to get hurt. and in 20 years of doing this she has yet to receive an injury.
It is very cool that you think we do insane riding. THANK YOU
@horselover3476 I don't know we really would like to use the The Australian Stock Saddle, and it is similar to an English saddle. However it cost about $2,500.00 so for now we are stuck with western saddles.
@ahiiesalu if i was in the exact same area as u id happily teach you english and i mean proper english not the american equivalent but cuz english style is harder to learn than other styles ud have to start from scratch
@horselover3476 I agree completely, "proper English" is hard to do, we could use some teaching as we don't want to look like fools when we make our Movie, we sure wish you were here to show us.
@ahiiesalu yh i mean ud have to start by being lead on a lead rein especially for trot as we have 2 types of trot which are sitting trot and rising trot and we don't have our stirrup leathers long they're supposed to be quite short not as short as race jockeys have them though plus posture is extremely import ant as u have to sit up tall but relaxed and there should be a straight line going from your head, elbow, hip and heel and a straight line from your elbow through the reins to the snaffle
@horselover3476 Brian and Greg and I thank you for the advice, we will print a copy and keep it with us when we ride and when we do the Blu Ray DVD Movie, and we will try to do exactly as you tell us as this is great.
Thanks for sharing guys! My 2 yr old loves horses and he's having fun watching this on the big screen while riding his stick horse!! And he especially think the "daddy juice" is funny!! Where was this at BTW?? Thanks!
@aaronbaker38 Hi Aaron, I agree some what any way I attached a video of a down hill we a putting in our next movie see Godzilla,s Tongue. (Helicopter view only no horse ridding)
If you can ride down that one I will have a $100.00 CASH!!!! waiting for you at the bottom of it.
The down Hill is 70 degrees and 800 foot in length my brother Brian did it one time.
Look for it in my other videos as I cant add the link here
Now that's the kind of riding I love! Over any cross country terrain, thrilling and yet therapeutic at the same time. Horses are such amazing creatures! Unfortunately we do not have such extreme places to ride where I live, and I cannot afford to have my own horse, though I am lucky enough to exercise a friends for her. Anyway it's great to see you really enjoy riding and look after your horses, hope to see more vids soon! :)
@WeirdAille Hi, glad you like the video. We are getting more footage for a one hour movie. But we will continue to share some snippets on youtube. Thanks for watching.
Keep your dream alive, you'll get that horse you want, meanwhile keep riding anything with four legs. Bye now.
@ahiiesalu I agree whole heartedly, it seems to be that people rather play a video game than go for a ride on a horse these days. Shame really, they are cheating themselvs of the most beautiful and thrilling experince a person can have on the face of the earth. If only I lived closer, we could be horse pals.
I dont ride horses but looks cool. You must of had a beer horse! Musta been hard for dogs to keep up....nice camera angles, made the video a thumbs up for me!
In 20 years we have had no accident, our first last Sunday Greg saddle came loose on a downhill got knocked out cold. We do not use shoes bell boots or splints at first we did.
However the horse gets a better grip barefoot, bell boots sure use those and splints.
You have to do the up hills or down hill in small steps and always rest you horse, take it slow and you will have a great horse EXTREME MOUNTAIN HORSE
Wow, that looks really fun and dangerous :) haha lol if i were you i would put shoes, supportive splint boots, bell boots and skid boots to help protect the horses :) Have fun!
Load up your horse and head up to Pinion Hills and it is a a lot of fun, I think my horse likes it as she walks up to me when I have a lead rope so maybe, anyway it
keeps my 28 year Standard bred in perfect shape VERY STRONG HORSE
This looks like a lot of fun! Seriously if I lived by a mountain, I'd be out there every stinkin' day! Always wanted to go riding/camping in the mountains with my horses. The horses seem to love it as well! :) Great horsemanship, I didn't see any unnecessary pulling or tugging to keep your balance, like lots of riders do when going up or down hills. 3:04 I have a big fuzzy dog like this! lol
You can take a horse off the track and turn them in to a mountain horse when there up there they understand and learn fast, we make our moves in small steps, rest the horse and make the next move
You can take a horse off the track and turn them in to a mountain horse when there up there they understand and learn fast, we make our moves in small steps, rest the horse and make the next move
We have two Go Pro cameras and use full HD 1080p about $300.00 great cameras, then we built a Gyro that keeps the motion as steady as possible, We also have a small Helicopter the flys the camera to get the overall shot that we will have when we do Godzilla's Tongue see the other videos
some chopper footage anyway you can see the steepness my brother is doing that one !!!
whoo hooo looks fun! This made me smile, I love making videos riding also but not like this... you have much better equipment ! Fun to watch felt almost like i was there! just please be careful on the super steep ones some of it i got nervous watching lol.
Love the angles your camera picked up views you normaly can't get easily awesome would love to see more !
@marjanen1 Hi we are working on another one, and yes it is a bit dangerous as last Sunday Greg they guy on the white horse had his cinch loose and on a steep down hill and fell about 12 foot hit hard and was knocked out for one min cold. But that wont stop him GOT TO CHECK EQUIPMENT
Lovely! you are lucky to live in such a pretty area-England had gorgeous areas, but generally, not a huge amount of wilderness, unless you go to Scottish Highlands. Some of the photo angles are a bit giddifying, tho! Unusual to see men-usually it is us women who are horsemad!
And thats what I call trust. Good video!
