  • New Years Joke ?

  • @2Djazz I am deadly serious. Deadly.

  • That was amazing. :)

  • well done man...

  • Can hardly hear the bass...

  • @iamasmodai it's the synthy sound, I panned it slightly left from the regular track. hear it? It's easier to hear w/ headphones. I got it sounding very close to the original patch, which is why it might be hard to hear.

  • good playing but terrible song, what ever happened to all the jazz you used to post?

  • @coeball

    Dude, really?

he's doing a computer-bass groove live. i think that's cool and he should get some respect for that.

besides, i guess it's fro the idea of it and to learn a little more about that electronic sound that he got into lately.

though i do agree, Adam has changed quite a bit, but change isn't always bad. we'll get used to it=]

  • @TheBassMan533 Justin Bieber next?

  • @FluffyWagglekins

No, cause justin bieber doesn't make music.

he makes this blur of patheticness, zero musicality, autotune, and somehow a bazillion dollars.

  • @TheBassMan533

Not to get into a huge "thing" here (and I *was* joking about covering Bieber) but at least Bieber plays a few instruments, and he can sing better than Sean Kingston -- with or without autotune. Some would argue that takes more talent than what Sean Kingston does. Plus, this song is instantly forgetable, and there is so much great music out there that's worth covering and exposing to others, so I do have to question: why THIS?

  • @FluffyWagglekins

And I posted my opinion in my first comment - I think it's for creating that electronic thing, live. and perhaps, to work on the sound as well.

lets just say, try to create this live, and make it sound this good. I dare you.

  • @TheBassMan533 It's not a sound I would ever *want* to create live, but that is of course based on my personal preferences as a bassist and a fan of music.

  • @FluffyWagglekins Good question. 1) The tune is miserable, and the programmed drums are utterly forgettable. HOWEVER, whoever programmed the bass synth knew what they were doing, and the bassline is fun to play.

    2) I've been getting into recreating electronic dance music patches live recently for a couple reasons, and one of them is there's now a lot of money in covering top 40 live for dance bands, and those are the gigs that I want to get. A lot of this stuff is fun to do with a live band.

  • @havic5 Okay, I can certainly understand that; but at the same time I hope you don't put ALL your eggs in that basket for your own sanity :)

  • @havic5 Amazing.

Same here. Gigs ($) Vs Good music. Hope with all my heart that you get what you are looking for with out being harmed because I came to the point of leaving my bass (not at all) and start djing.

No offense but watching such an amazing musician, composer and teacher like yourself going through the same kind of experiences is quite relaxing. Makes me feel not so lonely.

By the way dance music isn't that bad :)

    Jazz is best of course.

PS.Several bass players in Mexico follow you.

  • @TheBassMan533

Yes, really I hate most dance music! The tone he has got is fairly badass and could be used to great effect in a more musical context...

  • killin it as per usual!

  • nice tone!
