Everytime I hear this song I think of when I first heard it last summer. I was living in Baton Rouge on an internship with LSU's fisheries department. It reminds me of how much I loved and missed the south and how much I loved and missed my home here in upstate New York.

@ThIsGuY101234 Its hard to move in because you are so used to having that person in your life. Its not so much that you miss the person, but rather the routine that you had. Once its gone its really hard to get back into the swing of things. You remember the good memories and learn from the bad ones and just keep on moving on. Time heals all wounds but its not going to be easy. It may seem easy for the other person involved but most of the time its just them masking their pain.

@modlin545 I feel your pain, my fiance' and I split up back in Feb. just before Valentines Day. She had other guys on the side the whole time. After that I tried drinking my sorrows away but that doesn't help. It will hurt for awhile, but hang in there, stay occupied with friends and family they are the ones that will be there for you the most when you need it. I'm now back into school working on a degree and focusing on my career in law enforcement. Hang in there brother. You'll make it.
I stayed drunk for four months straight after my grandfather died. One day while drowning my sorrows in another bottle my sister came to my house and put this CD in and made me listen to this song and said do you want Grandpa to know this is where you are? I stopped drinking then and there and have not touched it since that was two years ago

ive broken bones, seen my 2nd mother die from a heart attack, my uncle give up after fighting for 5 years cause of lung cancer, i never cried from that, i just made jokes to help with the pain. but once i got my heart broken cracking jokes doesnt ease the pain like it use to, and this song has been pretty much my life for the past 5 years

I'm fifteen, and I've had to put my horse 2 years ago and he was my best friend in the whole wide world, the one person I could count on to listen to me. I've put down 2 dogs, and my grandpa can't talk right because of a stroke. One kid in my high school got killed this year in an 4 wheeler accident, one of our gym teachers died, the camp director of the camp I go to died this year, and one of our closest family friends died after fighting cancer because of a blood clot breaking out in his head.

He and I got engaged and then I decided to walk away, and now I listen to this song all the time because it is so true. We aren't but 20 and 21 but I know that if he knew what our breakup was doing to me he would flip out. So keep your head up I don't want to say it will get better cause I still can't tell.

The first time I watched this video was a little over 2 and a half years ago. (Comment may even still be up.) I was able to relate very well with this video. I spent several years destroying my life. Well, I have over 2 and a half years clean now. (clean date: 6/18/2008) This song takes me back to a place I never want to be again. A little reminder every now and then doesn't hurt.

Crazy, but it was that particular guy I was most worried about. I broke up with her for it just a little over three years ago, and within a week, she was in a serious relationship with him. ive broken bones, seen my 2nd mother die from a heart attack, my uncle give up after fighting for 5 years cause of lung cancer, i never cried from that, i just made jokes to help with the pain. but once i got my heart broken cracking jokes doesnt ease the pain like it use to, and this song has been pretty much my life for the past 5 years

Nothing to be ashamed up.. You just can't always be "Superman" I guess..

This is def. a great song and it breaks my heart to see how many people can relate to this song and I can only say that the hurt does go away and it just means that there is something better out there for you. I know from personal experience and love is def. worth the risk.

I lost the love of my life almost a year ago 4 years of my life felt like they had been just flushed down the drain and no matter how hard I have tried to drown away that memory its impossible though she moved on and found someone new hearing her voice sometimes is the only thing that keeps me around but hearing I Love You come from her mouth hurts the most.

This song is the greatest. I just lost the love of my life to a mutual break up. I wish I could go back in time and heal the wounds that make me feel the way I do today. If she comes back I'll know exactly what to do. Just turned 21 and drowning in the bottom of that bottle seems to be the only way to help. If I listen to this song it cheers me up.
