I'm almost 100% sure it is the exit of the lot directly behind the aquarium. It looks to have been shot facing "east" or away from Canal St. It is actually one block over from Canal, towards the Marigny. If you were on the other side of the street, facing the place this was recorded from, you'd be looking where the bellmen and valet for the W stand, laughing at all the drunk tourists falling in the bushes.
