WOW. I have the same lens on my Canon 500D and i would say its 4 times faster and dosnt make an sounds. send it back to sigma :(

Which camera do you use ?

On my Sony Alpha 200 is the same, on a Alpha 700 it's much faster (the same lens).

Fokusingspeeds depends on the Body !

I know someone who has the same prob with his 150-500mm. First make sure there is no dirt or dust on the lens. Check your focussing settings on the camera. If it doesn't work sent the lens back to Sigma...
