  • You're not the only one with strong prescription, my right eye is stronger than my left eye tho. I used to have really sharp vision. Now it's really bad :(

  • My partner is minus 6 or less, in both eyes, I'm hoping he can get laser surgery or the eye excersizes might help, as no one should end up relying on glasses like a crutch. It's upsetting for me to realise the pitiful extent of his sight with no glasses, when he has to hold his mobile 2 cm from eye to read it if no glasses, and imagine what would happen if out doors and he had an accident. Especially as he feels extremely vulernable without glasses, when his whole world vansishes into a blur.

  • @Pullisto If like me your husband has eye prescription of -6 or less then tell him not to consider laser. Any smart opthalmologist will tell you he's not suitable. He, like me might have Keratoconus. He needs RGP or hybrid contact lenses.

  • @ChequeWriter That’s possible, I’d never heard of Keratoconus till you mentioned it, and he may have. Currently we are in long distance relationship and he misreads my mails real bad of late and asks questions about thing I’ve already answered. Her wore contacts once but didn’t seem to like it. Also he has blood vessels showin from iris in white of one eye, indicating something more. Says he is comfy with -6 glasses despite what eye doc says, think he’s scared to tell me more, but shouldn’t.

  • Glasses/contact lenses destroy eyesight! .. i thnk u must have noticed that they will get worse each year The best thing to do is to not wear these at all and or get lower prescriptions and practice the bates method. It seems to be very effective,

  • the "sphere like feeling" you get is known as the pincushion effect.

  • damn glasses ......I hate them ,I just hate them .

  • awww your taken. says your married to shawn is that you ?

  • you are so HAWT :P

  • @gaytacoma you are so kind : )

  • @craigsjourney WAIT im friends with you on facebook!

  • these people are nutcases. specticals are like shoes. If you have a size 34, you can walk in a 33 or in a 35, but 34 walks the best. Specticals are just like that. It's not wrong to wear them or not, it just gives you comfort of good vision. But as craigsjourney said the specticals give you visual disturbances(cause they stand further from your eyes) you don't experience the same thing with your contactlenses cause those are closer (on) the eye.

  • don't wear them a lot and soon you won't need them, you should try wearing reading glasses when you do near work to help relax your eyes

  • why dont you research about self-correcting spectacles(adaptive specs).

  • i dont know how i came accross this video but, damn our glasses are strong.

  • Yup, they are. Which is why I wear contacts

  • I wear my glasses all of the time and becuase I need a 2 base curve I have to wear the low index lenses contacts dont work for me my glasses look preety strong what do you think of them are they cool?

  • Bates Method for perfect vision without glasses works. The Bates Method is free and almost 100 years old. You could cure your poor vision, Craig, and you could video blog about the process.

  • ahah. you're weirdd... :P i love your glasses. i have some almost just like them! but my lens fell out today at school and i have to go and get a new one Mondayy... they are just reading glasses though so i can do without them until then... :]

  • pgmosier2013: I like them, though I don't wear them during the week very much. But it's nice to wake up on Saturdays and not have jab the contact in my face!

  • haha

  • @craigsjourney What are the differences, I wear glasses but not as thick as yours but i'm not very experienced. Have you been using index glasses and could you explain them to me. And since your wearing contacts is there any point improving your eye sight without contacts or eye surgery by doing eye exercises?.

  • Hi craig I think they were GANT I saw it on the case when you held it up hope you dont have to wait much longer

  • Good eye, good eye

  • Hi craig! your new glasses look great on you - can you tell me the name of the frame? I am nearly 16 now and have worn glasses all my life and am very nearsighted (around -14 each eye) i used to hate glasses but so many people now wear them in school that it isn't so bad for blind ones like me anymore! please do another video showing you waering your new specs and i'll pass it on to my friends. thanks from Jay.

  • You know, I'm not sure of the name brand of the glasses. I'll have to wait to see until they come back from being re-done (the prescription was too high). Once I get them, though, I will definately do another posting with them--probably that night.

  • Those new frames look terrific. You have one of those faces that looks really good in glasses (that's a compliment). When you get lenses you can see out of, you should wear them instead of contacts!!

  • I will definately be able to do that more often. And I'm sure my eyes will appreciate it.

  • I have to give a big thumbs up on the new glasses. The frames really flatter your face and I think a strong -rx looks particularly good on you, indeed you look even more handsome with them on. You should definitely wear them as often as possible, plus it really is good for your eyes to give them a break from cls.

  • It will be good to let my eyes breathe again. And just to be able to do more things with glasses will be a nice change.

  • I like the glasses, I also am pretty much blind without mine, Ive never been able to tolerate contacts they feel like something is in my eye lol go figure! lol

    Zelenka

  • Some people just can't tolerate the contacts. It was a little difficult for me when I first started them 18 years ago, but now it's not a problem at all. But it will definately be nice to be able to wear glasses again, that's for sure.

  • I think you look great wearing them ...

  • Well hopefully when I get them back this week, I'll be able to wear them more often. Thanks for the compliment!

  • I'm going back quite a few years ago....he used to look pretty smart in his conductor's uniform. Thanks for your welcome to me as a subscriber. Jacquie (UK) x

  • Glasses' frames are real nice :) You like DQ??!! Me too! (except I live in the UK now and we don't have them here! boo-hoo). I can make the chip dip though and I agree it's got flavour! Yum! My uncle lived in Seattle and worked as conductor on trains from Seattle-Van. B.C. (just a little fact you probably didn't need to know!) Jacquie (UK)x

  • Thanks! I must admit the Dairy Queen has a soft spot in my heart. Her blizzards are the best road trip treat. And your uncle worked on the trains here? Wow, that sounds like a job that could be tough at times.

  • I am so glad that Beth mentioned you in her video, I subbed to you because you are really enjoyable! Love the frames, too, kiddo!

    Joanie

  • Thanks! I'm glad you are joining on conversation. I like the frames too--they make me look a little more my age...or something

  • Just left silverscreamgrl to find her here no wonder there are no crafts being made.

Craig it is nice to have choices for eye wear. I'm just wearing cheaters yet and I get so frustrated when I can't see everything. Guess I'll eventually get used to it.

  • I know what you mean about not seeing everything. It's a little hard getting used to the no peripheral vision thing with glasses so hopefully I'll eventually get used to it also.

  • What was the out come with the glasses did you go back and get them checked out or do you just need to get used to them you should wear them more often you look better with glasses on than without them

  • I had to take them back and have them fix the problem. Hopefully I'll have them the middle of next week which will be so nice.

  • 18 years goodness - and now you can see... well almost except to the left or right - hey but right up the middle we are good... Yea!

  • Hopefully I can get that part taken care of--I actually enjoy having peripheral vision.

  • I still cannot believe that you haven't had a new pair in 18 years.

    HRG!!! They look great!

Mmm that Blizzard sounds good. Whoa, people walking behind you! :)

  • I know. Shawn was trying to be sneaky and run by, but he wasn't sneaky enough. Maybe next time he'll crawl under the sight of the camera.

  • LOL! At least he didn't break your flow :) I love it that you mentioned HRG. I love Heroes and the entire first year when we had to call him "HRG-guy" was fun. Now he's becoming a little more human with the Claire Bear and such. Well. I suppose he isn't very human now.

  • Thank you for directing us to Craig, I subbed-- he is great!

    Joanie

  • You're welcome :)

Cash accepted at the 15th and last of the month, Craig ;)

  • Is it the usual 10%? Well, because your services are super-fanstastic, how about 15%?

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHA I will settle for 10% ;)
