Such dramatic pacing. If you appeared before most conductors today and sang it that way, they'd be all over you to speed it up. No-one seems to realize that if you skim over the text, you lose the depth of the piece. Perhaps there is a "middle-ground" regarding performance practice and tempi-- but this music clearly was not written to be chirped. Present day tempi in a baroque acoustical setting would be mud.
