  • To leave more than 80,000 soldiers to die is unforgivable. What was so important in Europe in January of 1942 that our military couldn't provide resources to our soldiers so that they could defend themselves? Apparently they were considered expendable by some in the govt., which makes the govt. just as bad as the Japanese. The "rescue" in 1945 was little more than a PR stunt and is nothing to be proud of.

    Excuse me, there was a little battle called PEARL HARBOR. Almost our entire Pacific Fleet was destroyed 1-month earlier (or did you forget that December 1941 was 1-month earlier). What reinforcements we had to send to Asia were stuck in the U.S. unable to be shipped, nor did we have ships to 'rescue' those soldiers trapped in Asia.

  • The movie called To End All Wars is another movie about these camps. Made by Britain is is great!

  • i admire Pvt. Houston Turner for his bravery., but i admire the most was the Filipino who help him in the middle of fire fight... his name was Lavardes., can anyone who know the full name of that filipino soldier? i'm a proud filipino..

  • I saw this movie just yesterday,i was too late to witness the whole movie,it made me cry and felt so bad of what had happen to my countrymen and Americans soldiers,they fought for the freedom which my country had long enough been waiting, many generations came and it was the Americans who also fought and join us to be free.

  • as usuall the so called "masters of the universe" still gains glory here but they forget the filipino's who are REALLY in the FRONTLINE. now the filipino veterans are dying in hospitals while uncle sam is dancing and drinking at the bahamas of course coutesy of their pensions

  • I wish i grow up in this era, I felt soo bad for my american ally and my filipino get slaughtered by this subhumans... I forgive them for what they did to my grandmother and grandfather, because to hate them at this point wont give peace to my soul.
