This hit makes me angry because although he wasn't my absolute favorite player, Savard was a very talented center. Major sports leagues grow in part by promoting their stars, so when you see a good one in their go down to injury it's bad for the league as a whole. Even worse when you consider Cooke has a history of douchebaggery. In my opinion, Cooke is one bad hit away from a lifetime ban, I've really had enough of his nonsense.

When Shawn Thornton fought him the next time they played it wasn't satisfying at all. He got 3 punches in and Cooke turtled. I will quote what Mike Milbury said on the fight, "It was about as satisfying as a wet fart." But, that was a different team, one that suffered one of the biggest collapses in sports history that year
