Denis: I've been working on 'That's the Way' but in the normal rock style strum .. and thought there could be another way to go at it .. well, you've just given it too me. Really appreciate your style .. just so you know I've also picked up a couple of your albums too .. keep em coming.
Keep trying to find as many pictures and videos I can. Cant get a response from larrivee.
I bought a L-03 mahogany (at least sold as). Looks like mahogany but the top seems more white than normal( possibly italian spruce) and has a herringbne rossette,,,
Denis: Wow! Excellent job on Page's tune .. I am looking to learn that one and I need to watch fingers and the different grips .. I think your's is the best I have seen sofar.
Is it my equipment or is your audio a bit destorted. Dude! You smoked it!!! Im not talkin about that kinda smoke!!!!! That was simply the best 6 string version I have ever herd and whatever the tuning fuss is all about, get over it!!!
G♭ is a perfect fifth below D♭, whereas F♯ is a major third above D. Thus G♭ is slightly lower in pitch.(where's your pitch on this statement?)
So yeah.... you don't know EVERYTHING youngen. and yeah FYI it's not me playing the song, and i think it sounds good in open g or open g down half step. like to see you give it a try. I think page would agree with me on this one. Because he is a good musician and one more thing to get straigh would be your grammar WRATHER? anyways son
I never get tired of hearing your playing and thanks for turning me on to Tony Rice. I bought my first guitar in years, a Larrivee D-03RE. I tihnk you have a similar model.
Question: For "That The Way" Do you open Tune to G, say, Low to High Strings, D-B-G-D-G-D

for any good musicians......
this song is in F# major wrather then G and sounds better in my opinion
tjmend532 2 years ago
it's actually open g tuned down half step, G flat is a different note altogether from F#
curtq 2 years ago
Yeah I know, I never said you didn't play it in g flat.
By the way g flat and f sharp are EXACTLY the same note, and exactly the same key as well
The only thing different is the name and the fact that
g flat is a flat scale
and f sharp is a sharp scale
i have somewhat perfect pitch and I can tell your playing in g flat wrather then g

I apologize for grammar,
and sorry I thought you were the one who played in this video
I really don't understand what your saying, everything I said was correct
- This song is in the key of g flat major/ f sharp major
- G flat and F sharp are EXACTLY the same note AND key
- This song is an open tuned g flatted down to a g flat AND ALSO an open F tuning tuned UP to f sharp
- AND this man is ABSOLUTELY playing this song in g flat/f sharp, so my pitch is correct and I checked
