Jay Sankey CANNOT BE ANYMORE CREATIVE THAN WHAT HE IS NOW!!! how did we NEVER THOUGHT OF THIS?!!!!! you my friend created a powerful weapon, that seems simple...yet so straightforward, kudos... btw i totally know how you did it : you switched it !!! ;)
You're a very good businessman Jay, It Would be difficult to make this ourselves, so you can sell this product to anyone, even if they know exactly how it works!
I'd like to say, that this one is one of the most creative effects for street magic and close-up. I have figured it out and built some cards myself for trying the impact on a spectator. I got amazing reactions. However, in future I will buy the cards, cause it' saves A LOT of time :) Thanks a bunch for your work and sorry for my English :)
This is so cool! I have lots of card tricks...but I dont have anything as powerful as this oher than BIGGER FINISH!!! Jay is so smart!! Love the idea for pulp fiction too!!
@Simz357 Yeah, fuck this guy. He's only one of the biggest names in magic today. Clearly you are much more talented and creative, so from now on I'm going to buy YOUR DVDs and go to YOUR lectures instead. Let me know when the next one is.
@Omega80020 Ya know... sometimes an effect that seems really "blah" to magicians can really amaze lay people. That's one problem I seem to have... I'm not good at thinking like a spec. I probably pass up a lot of good stuff because I don't feel like it's really powerful enough when it actually is.
wow. very cool trick, has lots of potential for creative presentations! handling looks super natural! ( and by super natural i mean it looks really natural, not like mystical, or the TV show for that matter)
This is an effect that would be great to have ready to go in your deck at all times but which you only perform if/when a spectator challenges you (e.g. "you switched it").
Comedians often have to deal with hecklers and have material prepared just for such an occasion. This lets them turn a potentially awkward situation into a real win and sends a message that they're a pro.
I think it's a great idea for a magician to have the same kind of weapon at the ready. TRANZ4MR could be that weapon.
YESSSS!!!! Very strong idea robvh2! The special cards can def be left in you pack with little chance of being discovered by a spectator's casual glance through. Smart smart thinking amigo!
'TRANZ4MR' includes a video download, fully illustrated instructions with several killer bonus handlings, and 14 very special Bicycle brand cards. Refills are also available.
I KNOW! Too funny! I shot several in-studio previews (without B.S. edits + camera-juiced 'spectator' reactions) and this was my favorite performance- but the corner DOES look a little different than the shape in the torn card. But trust me, it's def the SAME PIECE!
i tried this on my friend as soon as i told him what im goinhg to do he thinks he knows how its done then i show him and the next day he offered me 20 dollors so i reffered him 2 ur web site
The pieces match, I can guarantee you that. I agree that it doesn't look that way on the video but that's just the result of the angle and the torn edges being a little bent out of shape.
@billyandika3158 I'm pretty sure what happened was the card wasn't torn cleanly... if that's the right word. You know cards are made in layers so a little more of the top layer came off the big piece. But if you were able to actually hold the pieces, you would definitely see that they fit.
I dissected the method and you don't have to worry about anything knuckle busting. This is well within the reach of the amateur.
I'm not a fan of the "pain changes everything" premise but then again, it's the magician's JOB to take an effect, own it, and work on the presentation to squeeze maximum entertainment out of it.
A magician is not an impersonator and developing presentations is one of the most rewarding aspects of the art.

If you've ever performed Sankey's ID effect you would be able to truly imagine how powerful this one would be (and how much cleaner and easier.)

I know the method he likes to use. He's actually mostly slight-of-hand guy and i believe there is some out-of-camera card shifting.
