My friend bought a 2005 M5 back in January. These bottom ends are bulletproof!!!! We are running a single 78mm turbo with 9lbs of boost with stock internals including topend. Motor still runs like its new and drives like a stock BMW until you stomp on it. These may be the best 4 door cars ever made. Now if they could only get better gas miledge I would get one myself. Why cant we have a 30mpg M5? Just run it off of 4 cylinders the entire time then have a way to switch it to 10 when you want

win or lose, you all gotta admit that for a 4 door saloon that weighs a fuck load more than a F430, the M5 did well to keep up. It wasn't losing by much and it was gaining in the end. If the race was longer I bet the M5 would catch up. For a family saloon, it's an amazing car

@Roq999 sorry to say i am not, however if i had the time and money, I would spend some time trying to fit in a turbo kit. As ricey as that sounds, I want to be able to stare through the glass engine cover and see a bright red supercharger. From there I would want to install a new exhaust system and some new air filter/intakes. At the moment I don't know exactly how much more i can get from the suspension or tires but in the future i would want to see what could be done to improve handling.

At the moment I don't know exactly how much more i can get from the suspension or tires but in the future i would want to see what could be done to improve handling.

Ok, that racing Ferrari could be faster, but what does this prove? That a racing car might be some milliseconds faster than a 4 door saloon car? welll pininfarina is nice and all that but bemmer sounds better and last longer plus its soooo confortable for 4 person or 5. @jiggles26 ,,, Price has nothing to do with speed. Rolls Royce Phantom cost $450K and it's slow. High price tags dont make them fast, but Weight to Power ratio does. Z06 and GTR cost about 80 grand but it will smoke a handfull of cars costing 3-4 times more.

So for performance, money isnt everything.
