Some one needs to teach these moron WHERE to shoot. They DO know that a .22 Long Rifle has a 1 mile range and that hill top isn't but a half mile away. These are the kind of people that will cause us to lose our gun rights. Look at the knife this idiot is carrying,,,NO ONE uses a knife like that in the mountains, and Cammos...Really? Have fun in jail morons,,,you may have killed someone on the other side of that range...
@Hermanvogel Umm i never go into the wilderness without a machete or large fixed blade knife, its kind of necessary lol. Also, you could clearly see that they were shooting at a white target in the middle of a hill not over the hill or at the top of it, so really it is highly improbable, if not impossible, that they would shoot over the hill in trying to hit that target
That was unscoped 1ft. target at 140 yards. Forgot that bit. My buddy in the vid is also fairly new to the sport, so give him a break! I was fortunate to be raised a city slicker but spent a few months each year with my redneck father learning to shoot, hunt, camp, reload....all that "manly" stuff. not everyone is fortunate enough to come out of the womb packing a .45! but to those of us that were, SKOAL!
He was shooting at a target approx 150 yards distant and + about 75-100 feet of elevation. As for the .22 being useless beyond 100 yards, thats crap! My friend shooting in this vid didnt land a single hit i dont think, but the rifle was sighted for a super close 35 yards. unscoped ive put all 14 rounds in a 1 sq. ft. target rapid fire, and when I was a kid, I dropped a groundhog PUP standing in a field at just over 600 yards with my first shot. that was a dif. rifle tho. A sexy Kimber.
I've been putting a dummy round in the lagazine last so when I fire the last shot,I have something for the firing pin to hit besides the rim of the chamber.48 y/o firearm,I might want to make it last a while.
@ChimpFromSpace the green is the rarest.. Ive since traded mine for a Stihl 032 to run my firewood business.. I guess I knew, but at the time I had to go with what I needed most, but I found that the Apache was the most sought after..to late..its gone lol!
With that much wind, good luck. A .22 only has so much distance to go before wind becomes a factor that can't be overcome. The reason being is that wind will vary from time to time so to compensate at distances beyond 75-100 yards is quite difficult if not impossible. But the Nylon 66 was one of the best 22 rifles ever made. I have owned or shot one for over 45 years now and still can't see why Rem ever sold this to CBC. CBC turned out these until the dies gave out.
the original Nylon 66 quit production before 1963 where a Brazilian company picked up later production...I have an original Apache! which I agree that is has been one of the best rifles I have ever owned!
I have an article in a Guns and Ammo .22 Rimfire magazine about the 66 that doesn't mention selling to any Brazilian company. They said production stopped in 1989 because the equipment wore out and was too expensive to replace.
I have the same machete....

Hey man
Grandfather gave me one about 15 years ago, great
gun, as many shells as I put through that thing in
15 years, never had a jam or any problems. Shoots as
fast as you can pull the trigger. Apparently back in
1966 when they were new they came with a chainsaw... lol
Check out my videos, got a bunch with some homemade
suppressors.
Cheers

if you Google "Remington Nylon 66" it will give you a nylon 66 Wikipedia link and that is where I found the information about the Brazilian company.
