  • what is it like teaching english? i've wanted to go to Japan since I was 8 and I'm almost finished with highschool and thinking about college and it's a career I've seriously been considering. Do you think I should go for it?

  • Hello mariemonstre, Coming to Japan or any other country is a big step and one which will likely have a significant impact on the rest of your life. Japan is a safe and friendly place and I suspect that the experience would be a good one and for this reason I do recommend coming if you are still interested after college. Jobs are not hard to find after you have your degree and I think that you might like it here. Please let me know if you every have questions. -Kurt :-)

  • thank you for the advice, Kurt. I really appreciate it. I'll keep it in mind :)

  • Please let me know if you ever have questions. I'm always happy to help. :-)

  • J. Jap. Wait a second...

  • Hello suddrkj, Yes, I work at a local elementary school. I really enjoy the kids and it's fun to help them improve their English. -Kurt :-)

  • just curious, couldnt find any objects with x? haha great video this will definitely help your students

  • I thought "v" was going to be "violet" for the color of the flowers on the bush. And that praying mantis really wanted to play!

    Good video..thanks!

  • Hello reymiland, My wife said the same thing! This seems so obvious now though at the time it just didn't cross my mind. -Kurt :-)

  • Awesome

  • This reminds me of those little kid shows on PBS in the morning lol =)

  • That was so cute, Kurt! I love the sound affects and added visuals. I agree with BusanKevin that you must put a lot of work into your lessons, those are some lucky kids!

  • P for phone could be a little confusing for them mate. Considering the phonics are an F sound, rather than P & also a silent letter in the word which annoys J peeps.

Apart from that, a very cool & funny at times video. Now seeya, I gotta jump out of here lol ; )

  • Hello MicknFumi, Thank you for pointing out the tricky nature of this one letter and for your tips on how it might be better taught. I will certainly remember to try and consider phonics application when teaching letters and sounds in the future. Thanks again! -Kurt :-)

  • cute video! Looks like you put a lot of time into this project for your students. My hat is off to you!

  • Very cool, I wish my teachers put this kind of effort into teaching us.
