  • I got one today having my first drive tomorrow so exited :)

  • @xxxlemansxxx How did your first drive go?

  • is it hard to build

  • @123hobao No I found it quite easy. I had never built one before.

  • i got mine christmas day and built it in 9 hours, i run it in the next day but on the idle tank i put it on 2 metal tubs and the spur gear got stuck on them and the flywheel chewed it up so i recommend buying the metal spur gear £15 on ebay. Also did this happed with yours, thanks

  • @2010nosh Hi sorry for the delay in replying. Never had a problem with the main spur gear but will probably replace it with a metal one if it does go. Hope you are still having fun with it.

  • @MichaelRBrown7 Well it depends really. The buggy and engine are not great quality. However, the kit is extremely cheap and is a great way to enter the hobby. A basic buggy from the likes of Ansmann are much higher quality but you can expect to pay at least double the price and the engines are much easier to start and tune. I still like my Acme Condor, and it was great as a build your own kit and entry into the hobby.

  • Hi there, just bought one off a mate, but cant get it to run right.

could you tell me what mixture settings your are at?

    Thanks

  • i know this might sound wierd but what is your name i might know you ??

  • @colloolloollooll My name is Pete. I do not think I know you?

  • Hi i was just wondering how fast it actually goes?

  • @98funnyguy

    About 20-25 km/h at a guess.

  • @pshuttle definately faster than that, probably 60 kmh

  • @infernodood3

no i have a acme cyclone, it's like a condor... but it's a touring car, same chassis and engine, just different wheels and suspension.... so anyway, it really only does like 20 kmh

  • Hi i was just wondering how fast it actually goes?

  • hi ive just built mine aswell. u no the main gear in the middle that turns the clutch on the engine- mine doesnt quite fit completely onto it and im not sure why, is your the same?

    any help much appreciated:)

  • @SuperRESONANCE Mine was the same but I wouldn't worry as I have not had any problems with the main gear regardless. As long as the gear is meshed properly (use the narrow piece of paper trick) then you will not have any difficulties.

    Hope that was of help!

  • hey ive got the acme condor biy kit and ive just finished the front bulkhead assembly but do the diffs go because of bad quality or just you thrashing it?

  • @knightcollision The diffs are not the best quality to be honest but you can buy hardened steel pinion diffs which are much better. However, you might be ok and not have any problems. Just build it and run it for a bit and see!

  • @pshuttle ok thanks ! :)

  • Both front and rear diffs are now broken. Am going to have to purchase some decent metal replacements!

  • @pshuttle i bulit one of these. did you use any tube grease in the diff's. mine still going from last year in may .got to replace the engine tho :) did you find any upgrade diffs ..

  • @danwoolley It is just a toy for me to play with really. We do race them at work but it is rare we get the chance really. Getting some experience with a nitro engine is good for when I take the plunge to fitting one to a plane........Yikes!

  • Awesome. How fast can it go? Are you going to race with it or is it just a toy?

  • @danwoolley The box reckons up to 40 mph. Probably not quite as fast as that but it is quick enough believe me!
