they are not chinese lanterns that I have seen. Not unless they are burning petrol with hi powered halide lamps in them, the things I have seen are very bright like a helicopter lamp but look just like massive fireballs. And the craft I saw defied logic. Imagine an extremely bright red circle with 2 red perfect squares pulsing on and off either side of it moving silently with no other lights at all.

midknightworld this thing came down my road, this thing was f@@@king massive this thing was a beast, this thing was full of fire this thing was crinkling and pulsing orange light, this thing was 300 ft in the air this thing was flying 3 -400 miles an hour if not more, do you think i saw a china lantern well do you? In mansfield, 3 nights ago, aprx 10:25pm, was walking home, looked left to cross road near superbowl, slow moving,low flying red pin point light and slow 1sec on/ 1 sec off large square red lights (2 either side of pin light) no noise too dark to see craft. what the hell could that have been?

@JohnnyX50 hi jonney i had a large orange fire ball fly down my road on april 28th 2010 we are in southend on sea it was at 7 40 pm and was as large as a house and was burning in a fuzzy burning way every one is seeing them phone your local radio phone your paper you wont get a good resonse but keep phoning until these mugs wake up and start reporting it i urge everyone to report the now

When I was about 7 or 8 years old my neighbor and I were playing in the front yard and we saw something similar to this at sunset just hovering in the sky. Each time we watched it for about 30 seconds and then it disappeared, not like it vanished, but like it was a bullet shot out of a rifle. Both happened within a month of each other. I never saw the phenomena again. This video is close to what I saw, although in both cases I witnessed, the sky was clear. I have no idea what it was.

we saw 3 of these lights tonight me and my mates on bonfire night we see them everynight they shine like a flame and float thru the sky slowly and slowly fade away i dont have a clue what they are . and i live in bradford

i saw the same thing twice about 3 weeks ago at around half past 5 on two separate nights walking my dog near the cemetary its really wierd i cant explain it, it was moving quite fast and then it jst vanishes

Iv seen the helicopter lights before. They are brilliant white and you can hear and see the helis. These lights are very different, almost firey, definitely orange and no trace of the source of the light. Just every meaning of the words Unidentified Flying Object!!

hi, im from worksop and seen very similar objects. mainly looking south towards mansfield i think? the main sighting is either 1 or 2 objects flashing a bright orange light kind of pulsating. hovers in over the horizon then fades/reapears. anyone else seen similar in the area?

I saw something similar to this as I was driving to work about 2 weeks ago hear to the Shirebrook cemetery. it was really weird!!

I saw the same thing back end of May 2008 at around 6.45pm. I was driving up Common Lane near the comp and saw a light in the sky probably level with Cemetary. It was weird because it was really cloudy and yet the light was so bright and below cloud level. By the time I came up the hill, level with the comp it had vanished. Spooooooky =]

Very often, there are two lights in the sky, ALWAYS in exactly the same position (slightly apart, one slightly higher than the other) above near the Desert and the Industrial estate.

Likely explanation is they are heli's looking out for illegal bikers there, but why on earth would cops need two choppers in exactly the same place, always flying in exactly the same formation?

i saw the exact same thing while i was sat in asda car park on a sunday afternoon. towards woodhouse way i watch it for a good minute.
