That is pure gliding power. Because the hill is shaped the way it is, the wind comes up and over it off the valley. This powers the glider to some really astounding speeds. All he has to do is use the momentum to dip back towards the valley, and suck more energy from the wind to gain speed.
is that just riding thermals or is there some sort of power system involved?
