  • 1:47 and 3:49

  • who makes the backup vocals? arif?

  • @Fraanco77 its all rody I'm pretty sure

  • @Fraanco77 noop just rody singing but its at a tone were hes basicly just talking

  • 2:05-2:20 is fucking amazing.

  • How did you get this?

  • One dislike. I think Arif didn't want people to know he is the only one in the band who can't play the trombone.

  • F**K, I swear I love Rody <3

  • 2:20.... rody is god

  • DUH DUH DUH DUH DUH DUH DUH DUH DUH DUH DUH DUH DUH DUH DUH!

  • 0:50 onwards could be it's own song.

  • @FMSClancy and i wish it was

  • 3:02 this tapping part on the guitar is in Sequoia throne, am i right ?

  • @CrazyKiller38 nope

  • @CrazyKiller38 Similar though. But no.

  • @CrazyKiller38 no they're not cheap

  • @CrazyKiller38 nope.. thats bloodmeat. its also somewhere earlier in the song too

  • @CrazyKiller38 no. it's similar but it's not the same.

  • 0:26

  • 1:48 - i think i came..

  • 1:49 is the kind of low that makes me feel like he just drank blood or something lol

  • I think i like this more than the actual song

  • 2:14 has that sick beat.

  • i love the orchestra it makes it sound like part of a lord of the rings battle ha

  • I always knew there was a very hidden harmony track AND plenty of keyboard tracks throughout the album, so glad to hear this one's operatic additions with the vocals

  • Random note at 2:16? Haha :P

  • 0:50 I got goosebumps!

  • So much layering and effects. I still love these guys though.

  • Nice scream at 1:48-1:50

  • Anyone know what the tatoo on rody's arm says?

  • @xXslaverst0anguishXx dont know, i was asking a question.

  • Wow. Lot's of things here I didn't know were in the song. The synth in certain places surprised the hell out of me. Not as shocking as it was to hear in Sequoia Throne though. haha.

  • Oh shit, he says "virginS' daughters"?!

  • Those bass drops make my wiener tingle

  • @levipearl2112 You win.

  • holy shit i could masturbate to this it sounds so good

  • 2:51 to 3:00 oh my gosh!

  • 1:48 that was solid

  • i always have to laugh about the line "he slays his betrayers" .... he sings these kind of lyrics with this heartbreaking voice ... what the ... ;) ...

  • Man, all the effects make it sound so sinister in parts. I love it.

  • The vocal affects are glorious.

  • KICKASS! <3 PTH

  • ahhh i just realized these tracks are ripped guitar hero 4

  • 1:49 that is awesome >:3 ooouwwhhggll

  • Fun Fact: Every member of protest, except Arif, can play the trombone. :)

  • @aliont

    neato lol

  • @aliont that's awesome! Where did u get that?

  • @aliont Im alittle scared to see what crazy shit they can do on it, trombone sweeps! lmfao

  • @ThisisnotElio All sweeps are, are arpeggiated chords. Not hard on a trombone.

  • @SlapmybassRicky I know, I was just trying to say something that sounds stupid lol

  • @ThisisnotElio sweep is the name because you pick in a sweeping motion. there are no sweeps on trombone. Just arpeggios

  • @lectwar Lol, I know what sweeps are and that you cant do them on trombne. I was just trying to say something funny/stupid. Like if I were to say tapping on trombone lol, I know you cant, Im just being dumb lol

  • @aliont

That's because weren't they originally like sort of ska punk

  • @distantplanetTrance I'm not sure specifically about ska punk, it's a possibility. Rody did mention however that one of their main motivators to start music in an interview was "We were listening to NoFX and we thought 'those guys suck, we could probably suck too'. So I'd be inclined to think it was more of a dirty punk start.

  • @aliont

    Haha, they would.

  • @aliont it's actually all but Rody

  • @mrnome13 makes more sense

  • @mrnome13 nah it's all but arif. it was rody who mentioned it in an interview though.

  • @aliont It's shit like this... about Protest.... That makes me smile :)

  • Holy crap, I didn't even notice the brass and snare bits. That's freakin AWESOME.

  • Thanks bro, appreciate this!

  • this makes me love the song even more!

  • does the producer put all the misc. stuff in there or is that the band'd idea? probably both?

  • @grayzbeardz

one of the guitarists is a keyboardist so he probably put it in

  • @myspacceer Both guitarists can play keyboard

  • @grayzbeardz Im sure its the producer/engineers, they know how to layer this kind of thing, so little of recording is recording, most of drums and some of the bass on this album were programmed, which isnt a bad thing, its much cheaper, quicker, and sounds better to program things like drums and simple bass parts.

  • @ 3:16 my favourite harmonization "tomorrow they will...."

they have such a choir like substance in their vocals it's divine.

  • If you want the mp3s, message me

  • @BrokenShoreLineInc

    I want the mp3s! :)

  • This whole album has Synth! and random orchestrated pieces. awesome stuff

  • wow i hear so much that i never was even IN the song!

  • @BADBOY131 It's all there in the song, trust me.

  • still guitar...

  • Jesus, this gave me goosebumps.

  • yeah how did u get it?

  • man, i love the harmonies, i had never even noticed them before!

  • thats what i love about the vocals

  • @alexropo Rody said in an interview that he tried to make it sound like there was three people singing at all times with this album i believe.

  • How did you get this?

  • nice

  • holy fuck

  • epicc
