I really don't know why they bothered making this. The first two films were incredible, simply unforgettable. This was just fail from start to finish. Nothing can come close to topping the beautiful bond between Alec and the Black, nothing :)

Stallion is a gender: Uncastrated male equus. Aribian is a ancient breed, and stallions are not super fast or something. Stallions produce more hormones, that makes stronger muscles. If the get castrated (depending on the age) they lose all that.

And not all aribians have a dent in the middle. Though that is the most common, crossbreeds might lose the dent.

And Aribians are known for their stamine.

Arabians are just about the best breed for stanima and they are bred to survive such conditions like the desert

actually you're completely wrong. I used to Endurance Race which is what this is. We would race Arabians through rugged terrain, mountains, forests, deserts, etc. The horses were trained to run for hours on end. When we would train the humans would get tired faster than the horses but the horses would go. I wouldn't talk about what you don't know if I were you. You obviously have no idea how much spirit horses have. They're not humans- they aren't lazy and in need of constant rest.

Thia movie was about 3/10. It was so fake! It went really fast it was nothing compares to The Black Stallion! Neera was bad for the part and the horse was quite slow. Best thing about it was that the horse is very very Pretty.

i didn't really like this movie! It was so fake. Like a wild stallon would be tamed by a girl who doesn't know what shes doing, and in the race they had full galopp all the time. A normal horse wouldn't take that! But the horse is sooo pretty!!!!! :D

OMG, it's everything I feared it would be. As a diehard Walter Farley fan, IMO, it should have been released under some other title than the 'Black Stallion' label. This is an alternative universe Black Stallion. It doesn't fit in with the BS canon in the least. Neera was WAY too American-if they wanted a rider rather than an actress, they should have paid for a body double rider & gotten an actress instead. Plot was stolen from BS and BSRs. Dialogue was stilted & cheesy. I did like the scenery.

I love this film, even though it's probably one of the most unrealistic horse movies ever made. However, one thing doesn't fit in with the other two movies - in the third BS movie, the granddaughter's name is Tabari, while the girl in this film's name is Neera. Did Neera get a name change somewhere along the way . . .hmmm?
